Chocobo dyeing R&D Thread - Post your results here!

1st time I fed it 30 Berries that Deepen Blue and 36 Apples that Deepens Red and got Dalamund Red.

Then I gave it 16 Pears and it turned Acorn Brown. This isn't on Spreadsheet.

So if I fed 10 pears first, then 21 berries am I going to end up with a derivative of brown/green?

Your Blue level is too high for Ink Blue. You need to get your Red and Green a little lower still, but then your blue needs to drop a lot.

I would add x3 Berries (gets red/green to Ink blue levels), then start adding Pear + Apple alternately. I would say x6 Pear x6 Apple. Again make sure to alternate feedings (1 pear > 1 apple > 1 pear > 1 apple > etc.).

Like people before have said on advice, it is not exact science, and advice. Can't guarantee results, but I've been helping friends/FC people pretty successfully so far.

From what I understand, it's too tricky to say exactly how much each food item increases things. There seems to be a lot of RNG at play, so it might not increase your blue, red or green as much as you would want it to. Still early days there...

EDIT: Also it depends on what colour your chocobo is now, naturally.

Current: Russet Brown (R:72/G: 39/B: 26)
Goal: Soot Black (R:37/G: 35/B: 30)

Anyone want to chime in on this? I'd assume dropping red some more and maybe adding some blue. Outside of that I'm stumped not sure what to give that'll send me in the right direction.

Ok so I got my chocobo to Sky Blue and want opinions on what to feed for Ice blue from here. Thanks in advance.

Trying to get from lavendar purple to Currant purple... any advice would be greatly appreciated. ^^

I just tried it and going by the +6/-6 (or5) it should work or be right on the ballpark. Will surely update in 6 hours.
