Was gonna say, there were people who talked about this in ARR and HW about how they did it for fun, sometimes premades sometimes just on their own, who were very surprised that they managed to out-play most of the rest of the alliance. Plus it used to be a DPS gain for certain situations for MRD I think in ARR (mostly PvP tho I think).Quote:

After this last roulette I have noticed one thing.
I sure do seem to meet a lot of dark knights who never use darkside. I dunno maybe this last dark knight was relatively new-ish despite not having the sprout icon as he also didn't face mobs away. Can't tell if people just dont know their entire kit or they think the skill is somehow bad because it turns mp regen off (which isn't worth losing the 20%). -

I did a mentor roulette and got Odin. Had a RDM who refused to use diversion, because "I shouldn't have to, the tanks should use enmity combos and be in tank stance.". The old was in i90 gear, and the war was in 110 gear. You gonna pull hate dude.
Also, said pld was being 1 shot by the tank buster... Every time ..
Then in shinryu, got a drk who hadn't done the 70 job quest, I mentioned he should do that after we completed the trial, and one of the healers got onto me for it... Like, I wasn't even rude, just said "hey, after this you should do you 70 job quest, it gives 70 gear." -

I did Trial Roulette on WAR because I didn't feel like waiting and wanted the creation. Got Lakshmi. Never tanked it before but I understand the idea. Thought I would MT because my cotank was a PLD but he pops Shield Oath and runs in before I can even explain Vril to the new healer who not only watched the cutscene but mentioned that they were new.
I held second pretty comfortably because I know there is the cone TB that I had to aim away but the PLD isn't really giving me room to stand,he has her not very close to their edge and he is standing directly between her and the edge.
The new healer dies to each Vril mechanic and the PLD doesn't even try to heal himself. No Clemency at all. Not like he's using the mp to do damage either. He eventually dies to a lack of healing because the one living healer has taken her puddle too far away from him to heal him.
I pick up the boss and hope whatever dps winds up second knows where to bait the cone. It's going okay but I'm getting even less healing than the PLD. I also die to a lack of healing.
I don't know what that one AST who had done the fight before was doing but it wasn't healing tanks. I wish the PLD had caught on - I would have happily MT'd in Defiance while he healed me but instead we fumble our way to the finish line eventually.
Why can't people do their jobs at nearly level 70?
