Actually this reminds me of something I did with a friend in high school that we called an "art battle". Basically you take turns drawing one little piece of a picture at a time, but one person's goal is to make it as weird as possible while the other one tried (in vain, usually), to make it normal.
Here is one such result (the battle itself was only in greyscale pencil, but I later scanned it in and colored it on my own):
