When I emote spam the Crystal Exarch and senpai still won't notice me :(
The Rathalos Ex Farms when the down meter reaches 100 and I hear the "pling" so I'm like "Ok time to position myself for burst" when the game decides Rath should get another charge attack in before going down, so I get stunned as he falls down, and people go "LB...LB?...LB!!!" :(
Burning through 100 materia on a single pentameld slot and still not getting it
People who confuse viability with a job/jobs being balanced. And people who confuse viability with a job being decent in terms of gameplay.
Road to 70 not being a buff on all servers when a new character is rolled.
Mch out dpsing my nin.
Running out of inventory space.
Buying a meter long box of Jaffa cakes only to find out they skimped in the Jaffa and its three Jaffa cakes short of a meter grrr *shakes an angry fist*
Hitting Flamethrower on MCH, only to immediately get targeted with something that'll kill me if I don't move.
We rly need a failstack system for that so the chance rises when you try several materia at once, it suck when you dont care and try for fun and a 5% meld works on like 1st try while one you actually need and is expensive and fails like 50 times+

Those stupid weekly & daily caps. It takes the fun out of the game big time for me...
Seeing healer doing 0.00 dps in dungeon etc
Yeah i know they are "news"(probably LOL) but when i was new myself with whm as my 1st job i was already optimising my dps since the very first dungeon
w/e its just one of the thing that annoy me the most
People who talk about what changes a job needs when they haven't actually leveled it up.
People using periods after every single word in a sentence.
I. just. think. periods. are. neat.
PPl actually buying leveling potions.... I just had someone with 3 jobs on 70, one on 76 and had his bonus at castrum abania... as pala in full scaevan + 375 ring lol
Why. don't. we. have. that. clap. emoji. on. this. forum.
Said it before, but I must say it again because it keeps happening: AST that use Noct sect when a SCH is in the party... addfyuhsid7w4risortjoisrt!!!!
Truly, thank you random ASTs, for nullifying part of my kit... >_>
Ley Lines also gets Between the Lines, so you can get back to it once the danger's passed. Dropping Flamethrower or Ten Chi Jin early just means you've wasted a cooldown.
I hate Dohn Mheg first boss and the stupid water.
Generally healing from 70-77 is not fun if you are not overgeared and your tank isn’t either. :(
All 3 healers' DPS being blue in both animations and icons. That's 6 abilities that use the same color palette and just feels wrong.
DPS pulling mobs/bosses.
I'd say my 2 biggest annoyances right now are
1. People telling me my class is fine because it's "strong" and/or "balanced" and completely ignoring the issues I have with it
2. The tanks in my static who are trying to get me and everyone else to do previous raid tiers with them purely so they can get glams. Start a PF for that. I'm here to do current content and ultimates, not to farm old SB and HW fights just so you can glam.
Something I've noticed more as time goes on when playing SCH is that I (generally) hate being grouped with another SCH for various reasons. The obvious unstackable shields aside, there seems to be this weird ego thing going on with them.
If we just happen to cast at the same exact time that's whatever, but if I throw out shields in anticipation of incoming damage ... they will cast theirs 3-5 seconds after, consistently. Dude... my shields are already up, they won't expire before the damage hits, why waste mana putting yours up? Use that mana on something else, come on. It's like "must see MY buffs up, only mine!" I usually just roll my eyes and continue on, but every so often in other groups I'll recast to test my theory, and sure enough... they overwrite my shields almost immediately after. It isn't lag because everything else they do looks fine, so it really does seem to be an ego thing. Okay you weirdos, whatever, guess I'll just... spam Broil. Wheee. Or rez as needed, because the rest of you rarely seem to...
Regarding ASTs, again... Why doesn't the Noct sect tooltip say "DOES NOT STACK WITH GALVANIZE, USE DIURNALYOU MOOKS!!" SCH abilities mention it not stacking with Noct, so wth? ... Though, I suspect it would make no difference anyway, given how rarely people seem to read tooltips... If they haven't noticed by lvl 70+ that they don't stack... there's no hope, is there?
Getting deleted from hunt linkshells. I just can"t stay in one. Just recently I was in a cross world hunt ls for maybe a few days before getting deleted. It's why I chose to not be in one for so long. Like I know they delete to make room for others, but come on. They really need to add a "last online" for linkshells like they do for FCs. Hunts are probably my least favorite thing of the game.
I just want to be in one for special fates. :(
Tanks taking to long to pull mobs/bosses.
Superbolide at >75% health.
Not being able to give nicknames to Minions.
1. Healers that don't dps.
2. DPS that don't AoE.
3. Healers that don't dps.
4. Tanks that don't mitigate.
5. HeAlErS tHaT doN't DpS
oh and glamour restrictions
Seeing a healer stand there for the first half of a fight with no weapon drawn, just standing there in idle pose watching us fight cause "no healing needs to be done". Sorry Karen, you gettin vote kicked.
Going into a dungeon and tank thinking, that cause they are a tank, they can say "going afk for a few minutes" and then coming back 10 minutes later, then the other ppl in the pt being too scared to vote kick a tank cause "finding a new tank is so hard"
ppl in eden not only asking for a certain drop, that's cool I will let you have it if you need it, but if you ask over and over and over and over, then again and again at the end of the fight as if annoying me about it is going to make me give it up. Nope I am casting need. I wasnt going to before, I don't even need the drop, but its now mine, thanks.
Knowing that I am going to have to face Zenos, the most annoying and poorly written bad guy to date in a final fantasy game, again.
Another little gripe I have, is the increasing use of 'WoW-speak' to describe FFXIV terms that are not appropriate for this game and just look stupid. I don't mean common MMO terms that are appropriate to the game (especially ones themselves SE has officially adopted, like 'tank' or 'DPS') but specifically silly abbreviations or synonyms like 'toon' or 'rez', it just comes across as immature (characters here are realistic and look nothing like cartoons, and 'rez' sounds like a 90's game character, it's 'Raise' people! How hard is it to type two more letters? Urrghhhh!!
(Yes I know ACN/SMN/SCH equivelant spell to Raise is called Ressurection but even then using 'Rez' for that still comes across as foolish and stupid.).
Rez rez rez rez reeeeeeez~~~
Really, of all the things to gripe about, this is what you go with? Echoing what another poster said, most terms people use originated elsewhere, and some don't even know what came from where. I'm old enough to have played MUDs (precursor to MMOs, really) years ago through Telnet, so I'm gonna use whatever terms I like in whatever MMO I like. :p
lol it's not WoW-speak. If anything FFXIV is the one that goes against the norm and has its own nomenclature. Jobs instead of classes, Raises instead of Rez, dps instead of dd, etc etc etc. Even table-top games and variety of other games use a common set of terminology. We even used many of these terms in FFXI. FFXIV-speak is more how it is.
You cant expect ppl to walk in and start using a whole new set of terms in a game that has its own terms just cause.
Meanwhile, this thread is about expressing what annoys you, and everyone is entitled to their personal annoyance.
For instance, it annoys me immensely to see players staying on mounts, in PVP, as they continuously get hit and do nothing to either fight back or try to get away. Especially in 24-man fights, and when they're just running with a single opponent behind them, just pummeling.
That I (still) cannot preview cashhop fashsion on my character without searching someone wearing it. I know people's missgivings with in-game cash shop implementations, but MMOs like GW2 and even BnS had a great glamour system where you could preview either all unlockable or the shop-glamour. It's like window-shopping by simply clicking on the piece of fashion in the dedicated in-game menu and done.
1. lack of chat bubbles.
2. people who say no to chat bubbles even though it would(and should) be a toggle-able display.
Severaly of weaver line of pants are setup where only the top portion is dyable, while the bottom isnt. Example off the top of my head is Linen bottoms. The 'leggings' part doesnt dye, and all of them are like this.
