And next week it will be another class locked item or again a utterly expensive item... this minigame need to be redesigned... like i said there's enough item in this game to not rely on past events or rng luck in Uznair....

If you don't want to buy or craft the Adventurer's Sweater, a friend did with the basic one and score 94, here's what she used:
Head - Flat Cap - Coral Pink
Body - Winter Sweater - Metallic Purple
Hands - Claws of the Beast - Metallic Purple
Legs - Any- Coral Pink
Feet - Serpentskin Fringe Boots - Metallic Gold
Left Ring - Ultima ring (any)

Its probably not gonna change a thing to explain this to you again since you appear here every week saying "I dont wanna level class XY" or "I dont wanna do this or that"... at this point I wish we'd just share a server so I got craft you that sweater for free with the extra Holy Linen I have and be able to tell you "Now you're done with this"
You need to get 100 points once. And this content isnt going anywhere, so you can wait for a week when you dont need an ugly sweater. A week, that favours you.
If they'd only use easy-access items this content would become stale and boring fast since thats only a very limited pool.
Each week so far has been fair enough to give you a decent shot at 80 points - all you need to get your 60k MGP from the thing without doing anything to crazy.
If you want to get the achievment, you'll have to go and earn it. You know, was in... achieving something.
Granted, I'm not sure how much of an achievement it is to just repeat the solution for the riddle you found online while complaining about said solution...
I understand that its frustrating to see each week "Damn, not for me... again" - but they simply do expect you to put in some effort.
I got my fisher Lucis Tool (...okay, I earned the miner one, but hey) because I figured "Hey, I have a good shot at 100 points here if I only do this!"
My boyfriend and I farmed Shiva so he could get the samurai-weapon and perfect outfit that week because we figured "This is easy enough right now"
Dungeon Loot as BiS? No thanks - we unsyched the Vault like 6 times for everyone to get a ring. Ignoring the fact that most dungeon loot from ARR and HW has made a comeback as crafted item of a higher level range it would be more frustrating to me to have to run DV several times just to get the one piece of headgear I need now (someone mentioned having to do Shiva over 60 times to get the katana - you prefer that?). Unique looking dungeon loot cant be dyed, also.
And look at this week! As Frizze pointed out: More or less everything is easy enough to get - with the one expection of the sweater. If you want to achieve something... you'll have to put something in - a Lucis Tool, the right class leveled, an ugly sweater... make your choice or wait it out til its your class one day.
Since you can level every class in this game on one character, there is little wrong with this being class specific at times - if you dont want this, thats okay, but thats on you at the end of the day. You wont get the tank-achievement mounts either if you dont level a tank and take it into highend content.
And they're not. only. relying. on past events or Uznair drops.
Look at the items this week again. Read Frizzes post again.
This minigame is giving you all the rewards, each week with little effort - if you want the achievment, its perfectly fine that it asks something more of you.
Agh. So they do give us a week for non job specific, but with a PITA item instead.
Well, that'll quell some whiners and add more whiners.
This week's another easy set of points for you lazies. Work towards that Spring Shirt or whatever the next point tier item is (400 or 500 cumulative)
I have an honest question here: How do you know what dyes are needed? Is it just trial and error, or am I missing a hint somewhere?
Trial and error. Sometimes the hints seem to suggest a theme, sometimes the correct answers seem completely at odds with whatever theme you can imagine. There are a lot of people working on this who share findings. Soandso uses x number of alts to get 3x attempts(or more if they only care about total points on a main character) to narrow it down, tells the next person what they found and they do their tests on the next set of options. Once they more or less cracked the code to how the scores were made up it was all possible. There are enough minds(and alts) working on it to have the items narrowed down within a couple minutes, and the exact dyes within an hour. How long the community will stay this engaged remains to be seen.
How does this outfit even score 100 points, the other outfits so far already looked kinda "why", but this just takes the cake. Jesus that's atrocious to look at.
But as usual, thanks for the effort!
Well obviously not my week. Was so close to the title last week - I will get it; I'm determined, but sad that this week is just a horrible one. However, I'll still strive to get least above 80. I'm just weirded out about the dye combo O.o this npc really DOES have weird taste in fashion. xD
I would also like to know how do people know if a dye gives a +2 or a +3 and which one is which? I suck at Maths.. xD
They use their alts to find the correct color family. Then use more alts or others to find the correct color by npc dyes, then crafted, then expensive dyes (that's not a expensive yet when they're testing)
They can use a dyable npc buyable lv15 item for lv15 alts to go to gold saucer and check the dyes, they don't need the correct item at that point.
I get that, but my question is how do they actually do the maths to know which dye gives +3 points and which. That's what I want to know. I have several alts but wouldn't know how to do this efficiently so if someone kindly explain it to me I might be able to help with those too
you go in naked except a hat on, dye the hat any kind of red, if you get 2 it's red, if you get nothing it's not red.
repeat through every color family, there are 8 families, black, white, and the next six circles on the dye menu (last one doesn't count).
whatever gets you 2 points is the color family for the head piece for the week. everything in there except one will give you +2, one of them will give you +3, so you try every one till you get the +3.
repeat for every slot that can be dyed.
it's luck and brute force, there's no efficiency that i know of.
Well....this week's was certainly "unique"....

Btw, in case anyone's been missing out (if anyone's doing this for the MGP), rewards are affected by MGP buffs. Just off the squadron +15% cert, that's a bonus 9k for 80+ scores.
Hey everyone in case havent noticed i have made an Excel Sheet for Fashion Report, been keeping up to date as much as possible so if youd like to check it out to help with previous Fashions for upcoming ones feel free to use it, not sponsoring myself for this just thought id help the Community =p https://www.reddit.com/r/ffxiv/comme..._report_excel/
If you don't have the Ultima Rings, but have Proto Ultima, you can get 99 with KuroHana's set.
Thank you for another easy 80 <3
Looked at answers, grabbed the MGP and the cheap crafted items (winter sweater and pants). Already had the hat from the Fisher week.
Didn't bother getting the ring, figured I might get 80 without it.
Got 70+, bought dyes in the same color category from the shop literally right next to him (so one blue, 4 purples, 1 yellow). Applied. BAM 81.
Aiming for 80 is so easy, mostly because of the hard work the 100-ers, and the "alternate item" people, put in <3 So I thank you so much.
Also the 80+ outfits often look much nicer than the 100 outfit. I look so cute!

This week felt easier than some others. I used this set to get 86. You can afford to lose 6 points by skipping some dyes or having another shirt.
Any dyeable weapon - Sky Blue
Any hat - Coral Pink
Winter Sweater - Gloom Purple (craft this)
Claws of the Beast - Gloom Purple
Any pants - Coral Pink
Dhalmelskin Fringe Boots - Cream Yellow (buy from the vendor in Moghome)
Proto Ultima Ring (already had this but the Ultima Band may be faster to get)
To elaborate on http://forum.square-enix.com/ffxiv/t...=1#post4599774 ...
Yep, there are essentially two stages for each slot:
(1) finding the color family that gives +2
(2) finding the BiS dye that gives +3 within that family
Stage 1 can be done more efficiently by trying multiple slots at the same time. It requires understanding how the scores are calculated. I'll run through my experiments from week 4. Original screenshots at https://imgur.com/a/ZE4KA
Unthemed slots give 7 points for any item. Themed slots give a minimum of 2 points for items that don't match the theme. So a basic left-side-only outfit would get (4*2 + 2*7) = 22 points. I confirm this using my first attempt, but it's technically unnecessary.
Dyeing those items snow white / soot black gave no extra points, so now I know that none of those slots are in the white or black color families.
(continued in next post...)
When I tried dalamud red, I got 24 points. I know the extra 2 points came from the hands because that slot went from 1-star to 2-star. So now I know that red dyes give +2 on hands.
Cream yellow got 26 points. The 4 extra points are most likely +2 on two separate slots. I can see that legs became 2-star so that's one of the slots, and deduced the other one was the feet. (If there are multiple unthemed slots that I'm testing, I would have to use more attempts to figure out which one it was.) So yellow dyes give +2 on legs and feet.
Sunset orange and Ash grey also got 24 points, same logic as with dalamud red.
My alts can't access dyeable weapons but they would have been done the same way.
Further optimizations are also possible, but make things more complicated.
a) After I find out that hands are red, I could have started testing different reds simultaneously while trying to find the color families for other slots.
b) When multiple slots are eg. yellow, the BiS +3 dye is generally the same shade of yellow for all of them. So if I know that legs and feet are yellow, I can dye them two different shades of yellow and essentially guess for the +3 dye at double efficiency.
I believe grey is a separate family too. The pattern I've noticed is that the families follow the color of the paint bucket in the item icon. And yeah, the last tab containing the general-purpose dyes isn't its own family, instead every dye in there is part of one of the other families.
Was about to mention how the reddit user found that out about Grey's last week but then I saw your username. Thanks a lot for the work you put in each week in helping us find the correct dye family!
By the way, you can edit a post later to get past the 1000 character limit.
Anyone looking for a cheap last minute outfit, heres what i used.
Weapon - Any undyed
Head - Flat Cap in Coral Pink(lvl 45 wvr recipe, sahagin dye)
Body - Any in any purple
Hands - Any in any purple
Legs - Any in Coral Pink
Feet - Dhammelskin Fringe Boots in any yellow(i meant to buy the serpentskin but got these instead - level 55 and sold by the moogle vendor in zenith among other places... also a ltw recipe)
2nd Ring - Ultima Ring of ____(from minstrels ballad ultimas bane, any classes ring gets gold)
Non-hinted jewelry - Any
That scored me 81 points for an investment of a little over 12k gil(the boots mostly), a handful of level 40 weaver mats, and a couple of ultima runs.
Not sure what i'm doing wrong :( Only 72 points with everything

You have to equip something in the accessory slots that are not evaluated too.
Just equip anything in your earring, necklace, bracelet and other ring slot and you should hit 100
I managed to get 88 with the Turtleneck Christmas coat (forgot actual name) and Proto Ultima ring as alternate and used Rust Red, Grape Purple & Halatali Yellow as alternate colors. No way am I wearing those garish colors for 100! What the Hell is wrong with these Judges?!
