I had one that would lick my hands. It's very rare for one to do this to any human. I also owned a rabbit that would do this too.

More job specific emotes, like a job idle emote.

Some ideas
WAR would use the axe-stretch that we see some NPCs doing
PLD would polish their shield
DRK would kneel and sharpen their sword
BRD would play on a harp(visual like the songbird dance)
MNK would do warm-up stretches
SCH would interact with the fairy

Bridal carry I would definetely love (although, it may have some.... technical challenges when applied to lalafell trying to carry the likes of a burly roegadyn or hrothgar ;)). :p

Unfortunately, as much as I would love to have an actual kiss emote, I don't see SE implementing it, because SE is a Japanese company and tradtionally in Japanese culture kissing is considered a highly intimate act that you don't usually do or depict in public - this is the reason why the Ceremony of Eternal Bonding only the moogle-overseen ceremony features a kiss and even then the camera pulls back from the embracing couple the moment they kiss so as not to draw attention to it. And why the /dote and /kiss emotes are just blowing a kiss effectively and not actually two people properly kissing.

I would still love to have it, but I doubt it ever would be added. :(

Rogue/Ninja could prepare to throw a knife or examine their blades, like some of the NPCs in the Rogues' Guild
Machinists could take out a wrench or other tool to work on their guns.

The amount of emotes people suggested on this thread and seeing how many of them actually made the cut into the game...is quite frankly, very depressing.

Because quantity does not equate to quality. It could be 300 pages of Fortnite dances and NSFW suggestions. One must consider the game's image, rating and what we have in game as well as the game's limitations via spaghetti code and how it works on different races. Many of them follow these ideals, many, many more do not.

I would love a /vomit emote because many people make me sick. But alas, there is only the BLU skill. That in mind, it's at least a possibility minus the chunks. Palm to mouth, bend over a bit and look for all the world as though the player is on the cusp of hurling. Because it is SFW, doesn't show everything, and we literally have cutscenes in which the WoL does something similar.

And we get to vomit a bit of light when turning into a Sin Eater.

I want a sleep while sitting emote. Let me actually doze lazily in my chair SE :P

Personally, I would love to see female weapon poses on males and male weapon poses on females. I know they're not emotes, per se, but still...

I think I'd like to see some static idle poses (not unlike /sit) where your character can sit down and read a book (on the floor, in a chair, etc.), a sipping tea emote where you can sip tea while standing or while sitting in a chair. Things like that. Really pointless, but give like... a nice realistic touch.

/relax > putting arms behind the head, combineable with /sleep toe lie on your back n relax simple
/kiss > when theres hugging there should be also kissing
/cheekkiss > the weaker version for friends ^^
/flex > show your muscles
/provoke /taunt, would be kind of funny if doing that in front of enemies would lead to funny reactions xD
/cartwheel
/handstand
/read > pull out a book n read it or anything else random based like various different funny magazines, a paper scroll ect.
/training123 ect > various different weapon based moves that show your character is doing some training to stay fit - job based different looking.
/pickme > A clear emote based tell to show you want to be taken into a group/party that is unmissunderstandable if you see it.
/swim > to change your swim styles from crawling to frog to diving to windmill to normal.
/illuminate > take out a lantern to illuminate your surroundings and to see better in dark places, nighttime should become alot more darker n realistic in FF14, Dragons Dogma kind of dark that you need light sources in dark as black places/moments in the nighttime.

Thats everything for now in 5 mins brainstorming with repeating few things I agree with and want to have too.

Well, the player's character actually does that in the final cutscene for Shadowbringers just before the end credits, so it is in the game, the command just needs to be added for it. And yes, I would love to see it added too. :D

A spray bottle for vehement NOPE. Some people need a harsh reminder, but not quite the rage no.

The “sniff sniff” emote like the Miqo that looks for her carbuncle.

I'd like to suggest an improvement to an existing emote: Miqo'te have this adorable ear-wag when then consume buff food that is a drink. I was pretty sad to see that the /toast lacks the ear-wag! Please hotfix at once, Yoshi.

We could use more negative emotes honestly. Alot of them are either dances or something positive!

/Threaten character brings a finger to the neck and slides it across.
/Taunt character holds their hands out Infront of them before beckoning with their fingers
/footline character drags their foot along the ground
/Sob character burries their face inbetween their hands

/Tea character pulls out a cup and saucer and takes a sip.
/Peach character holds out a peach.

Would also be neat if they added emotes that effect how your character walk animation until toggled off.

/Stumble causes your character to stumble around as if drunk or delerious
/Shamble changes walk animation to that of a zombie/undead

-WHM scattering 'glitter' and making flowers sprout around their feet
-SCH write down some notes as Lily sits over their book as if having a conversation
-AST reading someone's fate like a tarotist

-SMN accidentally calling forth a chibi Bahamut
-RDM doing some flashy fencing
-BLM casting a fireball that floats around them

-SAM throwing paper to the air and swiftly slashing them into confetti
-NIN practicing new mudras, or pet the bunny after a failed attempt
-DRG spinning their lance around
-MNK meditating as they start levitating

-MCH throwing a can or something to the air and shoot it as many times before it hits the ground
-BRD doing a small twirly dance while playing their harp (with actual sound maybe?)
-DNC ...well...dance lol *looking at you lv 80 job quest*

-DRK emitting some spoopy black fog around them, making them look like their Living Shadow
-WAR releasing their inner beast and roar like in their job quest cutscenes before poofing back to normal

I don't know if this has been said, but I'd love some "pose for camera" emotes, where the character makes a single, cute pose and maintains it permanently (until you make the character move, as with the rest of permanent emotes).

I was hoping for maybe an emote that involved the fairies!

I'd like a /gift emote

/handover feels impersonal like here take it sort of thing rather than here got this for you

Something like the /lute, /flute, /drum emotes like in ESO would be nice to have. They don't need to make sound per se, just you playing an instrument casually.
