I've experienced issues with the server just like the other users. However, I don't hold it against the team or the producer. Thank you for a great game and a great experience! :)

This is my last post for today. And im proud to make it that way:D. Thread well spent!
I remember that first letter. And thinking "Wow....so the rumor true..."
I started college August 2010, and graduated this past February 2013. 1.0 is quite literally unique to my college career. It began in September 2010 with my schooling, and ended just a couple months before, with some alpha and beta testing towards the end. It was always fun to come home after class and go check and see what's going on in the world of Yoshi-P! And then log in for some updated fun! I'll never forget the events at the final days. Very fun with the GMs. The whole experience thus far has felt very personal, and I'll be here all the way!
Here's to the future of Final Fantasy XIV: A Realm Reborn! :o
(Going to update this post after work with pictures! :) )
Thanx Yoshida and the team, I'm so enjoying this game, it was well worth the wait. Glad to have been a beta tester and now, a male miqe'to!! Xoxo~
Thankyou for the epic game.

Yoshida, It is not unwarranted that you have a large following that believe in you. I was there on launch day in 1.0, when the fate of FFXIV was a terminally ill development and a fickle playerbase. The work done during your time on the game was enough to build a following. I believe the banner then was "Yoshi-p is the only man who can save Final Fantasy". Though I am sure you are not content with just finishing the game, I am sure you want to expand it and make it all the more better. Know that these last few months you have gathered both old and new players alike and have launched a successful MMO. You will have my full support.
Firstly I'd like to preface my response to this thread with a few tidbits of information.
I am, and have been, a SE and Final Fantasy Franchise fanboy since I can remember. I've bought every game I could get my hands on, and I played XI starting at release, and then for a multitude of years following. Seeing as I am amongst the majority of people that made my displeasure with the ongoing server issues quite publicly known, I felt it would only be right to elaborate further.
YES, 100 times YES, as far as thanking Yoshi P and the Dev team for what they managed to do as far as the Game itself is concerned. It's gorgeous. It's fun to play. Most important of all, it has re-invigorated, in me, the desire to stay up for 16 hours at a time playing a MMO again. I think, the fact that the game is as good as it is, essentially causes the storm of anger and bashing from the 'affected' masses. I am speaking from first hand experience here, because I want to play so darn bad, and am not able to, a rage builds and eventually turns into what would be considered a hateful/spiteful/negative/mean/etc post on these here forums. I've beta tested the original release as well as ARR, and have obviously thought highly enough of the game to not only pre-order, but pre-order the CE at that. Server issues aside, and a few things here and there in-game, I am beyond addicted. (I actually find reasons to log in while at work  )
The following paragraph is aimed @Tenzen, because in my honest opinion, your multiple responses to anyone who did not agree with your initial message in this thread, show just how purposefully blind and ignorant you are CHOOSING to be. Furthermore you even attacked someone who AGREED with you, because you made it obvious that you did not read everything they said, you jumped to a conclusion based on a few keywords in their response.
Because of the way you've handled the posts that didn't fit your criteria for this thread, I'd like to bring attention to another issue. An issue that is being displayed quite well in this thread. The issue I'm referring to would be what we all know as 'white knighting'. Being a fan of a franchise/studio and wanting to defend them from trolls, is completely acceptable in my book. However, when you end up becoming a troll in your own right by constantly badgering anyone who may disagree with your view on said franchise/studio or may bring up a valid criticism of an ongoing issue, you are not doing anyone a favor. I can not even begin to name all the VALID issues that were brought up during beta, documented in extensive detail, and then butchered and killed by the 'white knight trolls' that were so prevalent on the beta forums. Not to say they are not on the official forums as well. When you blindly bash any criticism, no matter how constructive or beneficial to improving the current game, you are dooming that which you love most.
In closing, this is the internet, the anonymity it provides tends to somehow bring out the worst in certain people. That's just fact, and if you've not learned that by now you never will. However, letting yourself be pulled down to their 'troll' level does not make you a solution, it actually makes you part of the problem.
/Bauric Out.
Props on getting the servers working correctly, SE. Haven't had any problems what-so-ever since the update.
Finally after so long the game is officially out.
Thank you Yoshida and his team for working so hard to have their phoenix rise from the ashes. Despite the little bump in the road, this game will become one of the greatest MMO's of all time and I a glad to say I was there from the beginning.
Both beginnings XD
