In before those that got an invite start to antagonize those that didn't.

Even if people got in, they couldn't post anything on it anyways. It's kinda like ripping off a band-aid. If you're not expecting it, it won't hurt, but the more you're expecting it the more painful it is.

Still haven't gotten one. Going to assume that I'm not.

By the looks of it SE will be sending out the invites spontaneously. This was likely to provide invites as space becomes available rather than by a specific schedule. Plus it saves them from having to hear complains after each round. Unless people want to complain every day for space that might not be there...

It's okay. My system is just fine and a bit better compared to their alpha specs. No invite here either.
