Why must chocobos be our companions

It's enough info to tell you that it's a pet class, which is what you were asking for. yes, we don't have the finer points, but that's not the point (lol :p ).

I guess you've missed all of the dozens of community rep posts saying "hey guys, just letting you know that we're fixing this for 2.0!" "In 2.0, you'll be able to do this!" 'Yup, we're working on that for 2.0!". You make it sound as if they haven't told us much about what's being done, but that's not really true. How much is subjective of course, but I hardly feel like we're being left in the dark. Yes, you won't know exactly for sure down to the detail what's changing until you play it- but how about we wait for that instead of just assuming they aren't fixing bugs because they released a little info on something that had been planned for over a year?

Arcanist/Summoner is a pet class. It doesn't seem lame at all, it was fucking awesome idea and seriously tired of Chocobo? You are playing the wrong game then period. Be happy we are even getting a companion system and actually being able to using an iconic creature from FF titles as more than just a mount.

You guys give me a headache, it's like you guys dunno when the discussion becomes nothing more than opinions back & forth, so I decided to drop it, it's not cuz anyone "won" or conceded.

Yes I called chocobo companion LAME, get over it. Be happy we even get a companion system? I don't have to /bow for everything they give me. Iconic creature? dude.. it's like a horse.. it's a mount. I'm sure if we lived IN final fantasy land they'd be just like horses..

I like how none of you have answered by questions/points.. nothing to backup ur points except more opinion. I already linked 2 sources of info, where's this chocobo are everything backup, or was it just 2 games we're referring to? Cuz 2/13+ seems lame.. Nbdy can enlighten me on that.
