I genuinely want to know what it is that makes people see “maybe we could have anything but one button spam” and immediately go “BUT WHAT SBOUT COMBO BREAKING WHAT IF I HABE TO GCD HEAL MY COMBO BREAKS COMBO BREAK COMBO COMBO”
We literally had more complexity in healer damage kits for 3 expansions and this was never a concern. Why do people instantly create it as a problem
Because this isn't about wanting a more interesting kit as a healer. Every time giving healers more damage buttons or extra dots to manage, even just a second DPS spell to cycle is mentioned there is an argument about why it's impossible and a bad idea, such as the breaking combo nonsense.
This is about players who don't like the idea that healers are expected to dps in this game. They want to only cast healing spells and absoutley empty their mp and healing kit every opportunity they get because "that's what healers do."

It's extremely apparent the level of understanding both of you have, and probably one of the reasons why SE stopped taking feedback from the forums.
Overheal means absolutely nothing; it tells you nothing, and the parse is only an indicator of how well both healers synergised and didn't overlap on stuff.
I do generally try to pay attention, and my healing rotation is never static, for that matter. The ability to be fluid and not always perform the same standard rotation, but adapt and pay attention to what your co-healer is doing, is another layer of mastery.
This is particularly hard in PF because you never played with that person before, and you don't know their healing and mitigation plan for that fight. Being able to adapt on the fly and pay attention is not something many even care about. That includes me because in reclears, I just want to get in and get out.
As for overheal from WHM, it's in their kit because of how Asize functions. You have to press it on CD, and if people are hull hp or not a lot hp missing, it will go straight into OH.
None because you are playing DPS.
Over healing in a time long lost in xiv actually was detrimental and could lead to mana issues. You bringing up OH of 50% is "just how WHM works" is proof enough this development team has zero idea how to make efficient healers. Did you explain why assize is used on CD? Oh, right, because we aren't healers, just support DPS.
Did any of those damage kits have combination spells like the ones brought up in my quote? I surely don't remember any damaging spell combination that would be broken if not done in order for any healer. It also wasn't brought up as a complaint, just an observation and prediction of this community.
