Based on what? I'm genuinely curious. I didn't find his discussion of the strike as a mark of progress at all. And that was like, yesterday.

Unless it's better that he didn't show Gemina's info on stream?? He still implied he looked at it and judged them.

And that's really the problem with any content creator btw. I do not expect accuracy,, consistency or even comprehension. What I do expect is civility and respect. It's just a video game.

I beg to differ, personally.

If your first inclination on someone's take regarding their interpreted issues on healer is just to look them up, and see which content they have or have not done, and then proceed to shame them on that whilst using it as a means to try and assert authority (rather than to try and actually look at the merit or lack thereof of the perspective) then I would say not much learning has taken place.

But alas, each to their own. He's welcome to do as he wishes, but the fundamental attitude in that behavior is just the same.

Doesn't mean he can't still be a prick.

Of course he learned since it's against the TOS. Just like you can get banned for cheating on streams, the same most likely applies to shaming specific players using parsing and the like on stream. Hold people accountable; there's no need to do lawyer work for free. If it was me I'd demand money to be a community/social media lawyer.

If content creators decided to pull up the strike OP's logs to ridicule and shame them I hope someone took the time to clip it on twitch, save the vod to pop on youtube and report it to SE so the creator can get a couple days break from ff.

Effectively shaming someone for lack of kills via a website is the exact same practice as shaming someone for parses.

The same can be said about the opposite. Streamer which support it neither are necessarily right.

I'm of the opinion that content creators do not owe anyone anything, and no one owes content creators anything either. They are entitled to their opinion just like everyone else. While I don't necessarily agree with log shaming, I do think experience does have merit. When they were going over job changes, there were some people in a chat I was in that thought the duration increases were stupid because no one uses them. Context matters there because they don't do Savage or Ultimate, so the content they do does not require it. However, many savage and ultimate raiders will tell you that defensive CD's are quite often used at that higher level, so they would have a different opinion.

I could be different from a lot of people, but I don't take anyone's opinion as gospel on face value. I think for all the content creators I watch, there have been takes I agree with, and other takes that I don't. For example, when it comes to tank perspective, I would look to see Xeno's opinion. He plays it at a very high level, so his insight is going to be useful to me to try and understand things I might not think of when I'm tanking. However, I wouldn't put much stock in his take on DPS. Having said that, that doesn't mean everything he says about tanking I automatically assume is correct just because he says so. I'm not naive enough to believe that people don't follow content creators opinions blindly, but I put that on those who do it instead of the content creator.
