Do people see this game as an MMO?

I enjoy the content. I enjoy the dungeons, trials, the mostly reasonable grinds. It's the only MMO I've been able to play for more than 10 minutes before getting bored. It's not disgustingly grindy like a lot of MMO's, which I can't stand.

As for the social aspect, I play this game with my spouse. I'm not using it to make friends. I don't need to make friends because I already have someone who I do everything with. And even when we don't do content together, if we're working on different things, or he's playing a different game, I still don't talk. Unless I need to tell someone a mechanic they don't understand or something. The most vocal players really don't seem like people I would get along with.

I'll talk to FC members if they start conversations, but otherwise I usually stick to myself. I don't want to be forced to talk to people. I don't want to have to ask around for someone to run a dungeon with me. That seems like an incredible waste of time, and honestly, dumb.

Sure, it's an online game. You play with real people. But that doesn't mean I have to talk to every single one of them. And just because no one is talking in shout 24/7 doesn't mean there's no social interaction in the game.

You don't have to grind mobs or what not. It's a matter of having the option to do so. I really don't understand how people can defend this design of sitting in a city, hitting a queue button and calling it a day; when we have all of these great zones they spend time and money on, to just sit there in the dust. The game has issues. Putting head in sand does nothing to improve upon it. It has so much potential, to be the next WoW, yet his cut short of dumb design choices.

Why is that doubtful? Also why does it have to be with my combat class? Doing literally anything while waiting in que helps me and explores more of what the game has to offer.

Because there isn't anything of substance in that aspect. That, is the issue.

Define substance. I find there to be a lot of enjoyment in the side activities of the game. And leveling other classes is one of the ways I get to enjoy it all.

Bearing very much in mind that as a perfect stranger, anything beyond the game boundaries is absolutely off limits.

Bozja ever hear of it or Eureka? They have ques in WoW and in almost every MMO out there if they have a duty finder. Hey try ESO if you want to que and do other things. So if I am chatting in my FC or on Discord you say that is nothing of substance while I'm waiting on the q? Why do you want this game to be WoW? I mean log out of this game and log into that one. Chocolate=/=Vanilla I have come to the conclusion you are not serious with your comments. I wasn't going to answer you but I just wanted to point out your answer was nonsense and very inflammatory and on purpose I am sure. Oh and please answer the questions posed to you by others. If you don't like FFXIV there are other games and that is a fact.

Some play with controller, some feel lazy, some ain't in the mood and the list goes on.
