You're right. We don't know for certain. But I'm still going to go out on a limb here and say they will be pretty marginal materia at best. Most of use have hundreds of thousands of guild marks. SE knows this.

Special 1.xx exclusive materia would be something awesome to show off, especially if its useful :)

I wonder if the guildmarks will all be considered one pool for purchasing purposes or if they will only allow you to buy, for example, harvester materia with guildmarks obtained from the harvesting classes.

Until someone creates a thread whining about how they accidentally unmelded their rare materia and want it back. :P

I want to get shards, crystals and clusters with them now that fine sand is a PITA to make.

Yup I just added mine up roughly I got over 300k of GM's and I never really farmed them tbh.

Materia will need to be 10k each otherwise the market will be flooded with them

Indeed, what a massive load of bollocks. They have no imagination whatsoever. So bascialy was a complete waste of time getting those guild marks for the first year of playing. They couldnt think of anither way to use them. Yep just take the easy mode and give us shards. thanks /facepalm
