There is zero time limit, ( Seems to be open world) So the only way "that" would happen is if the Community deems it so to run passed them. ( which isn't SE's Fault)

Efficiently wrong though. You and your friends know nothing about whether it will be open, instanced, fun, camped or not. But they - and apparently you - have already jumped to conclusions that there's 'nothing new here.' There's nothing smart about that at all.

Oh really?

Who do you rent it from? How long do they last? Can you grow and own your own? How fast do they go? Do they cost different amounts for different times they last? What happens when you get hit on Chocobo? Are there different types of them? Will some missions give you a mount for free as part of the mission? Can you upgrade your mounts to be faster? Do abilities like Quickstride affect their movement?

The truth is that you don't know much of anything about how they will work, yet presume that you do. It's a silly and childish way to reach conclusions about upcoming events - and it's smart on SE's part to string it out some.

Yes I know its not an exact match but that's likely due to how high my view camera is in first person.

Putting everything together in context leads me to my opening conclusion. Given the presence of the amal it would not be to big of a jump to think that scattered around eorza there are currently small forces of the other beastmen hinting to where the other strongholds will be.

The rub is i am not sure how long these amal have been there. I have not been out poking around southern than in a long time. at least not after the inclusion of the settlements.

@Fixy: They stated they are adding a L15-20 open world dungeon for new players as well as some in-game tutorial's for new players... they aren't just adding content for people that are playing the game right now. Also why would people pick up the game now when people can tell them there is nothing to do at end-game yet... even for new players you need to add this higher end content.


On open world or instanced, please reread that they mentioned that strongholds are raids in Letter 16:

I don't know about the rest of you but ever since the first 2 Raids I assumed this is the term they were going to use for instances, unless they are using it as a blanket term for everything.

Could have sworn he said these were going to be like towns.. Don't have time to look for it though.
