Ya I'm old enough to have played it on the nes as well but was too young to grasp it at the time. I was living with my older cousin at the time and he was playing FF1. Well while he was gone one day I decided I wanted to try playing it. I messed around with it for a little but then ended up deleting his save. Let's just say he wasn't very happy. Once I got older and became a gamer myself I looked back on that and realized how terrible that was. His stupid little cousin wiped out like 30 hours of progress.
