Explorer's stuff for real? :D I'd love those items!

I want dat der Explorer's Calot. I love those goggles (like an old-fashioned pilot's cap) and I would glamour the hell out of that thing. The silly Forager's Hat would never be seen even for a moment on my head.

I got a good III materia yesterday. Put it up on sale, and sold almost instantly.... But I left out one "0" so that really sucked.

Aside from that, my two retainers basically went fishing for 5 hours. C'mon - bring back another wall or something interesting.

I've gotten quite a bit of good stuff.

Moogle couch
a few floor lamps of various types
countless roofs and walls
the new iLv 70 armor pieces for several jobs
Magicians hat and shoes

I spent 30k seals on ventures since I kept capping while grinding for ATMA so I have noticed that the best stuff comes from the quick exploration

My retainer ran through Brayflox NM the other day and nabbed a hat. It made me wonder... for these items that are unique, what happens if my retainer brings back something I have in my inventory already?

You don't actually get the item until you claim it from the report so I would hope we can simply close the report, store the item we already have on the retainer's inventory, then claim the item from the report. A few times though I've had my retainer bring back nothing but a single 25 gil allagan coin so I'm not sure if there was supposed to be something else with that...

My retainer just bought back a Glazenut seed :D

My retainer brought me a phoenix down. Then I pictured him saying, "You're going to need this..." while giving me a creepy smile.

Okay so my level 13 Conjurer retainer just gave me a Darklight Bracelet of Healing :-) My main is White Mage so this was particularly useful. This brings my most useful/valuable list so far to:

- HQ Darksteel Chain Coif
- HQ Wildling's Cesti
- NQ Carpenter's Gloves
- Darklight Bracelet of Healing
- Coliseum Subligar

But also lots of junk in there too.
