Is everyone ready for BLU to be hardly mentioned in the Live Letter
Who knows, maybe they'll make some general playability changes to it? At the very least I think they should give Blue Mage a basic Job Gauge and rotation... A simple 1-2-3 combo to build gauge that you spend on Blue Mage spells? Perhaps some more traditional Job abilities that interact with Blue Magic? "Halves Gauge cost of Blue Magic", "Increases potency of Blue Magic" (hey look, I found a way for 1,000 Needles to be usable again), those sorts of things... I really don't see why "Limited Job" has to mean it lacks the fundamentals all Jobs have... Limit it in the sense that it can't do certain content because some spells are OP (despite the fact that most stuff is still outright immune to them...), not in the sense that it's just a mess to play...
Well they do already have a pretty simple level 50 rotation. Bristle Song of Torment every 30s, keep up off gaurd, use primal abilities off CD, preferably in the peculiar light window. inbetween there Glower. Its about as engaging as other level 50 rotations but yes they still need to grow it out a bit. Im still a big advocate of putting the instant kill abilities like tailscrew, missle, doom on a Job gauge as OGCDS which fills when you cast spells, then ramping up their success chance on things that are susceptible to them, then making them do potency as compensation if they fail. That way you have to play the job for a chance at then using the death skills, but you still get something out of it if it doesn't succeed, instead of just sitting there and spamming them over and over on things that are susceptible until they work.
