The result is Midnight Blue.at least its get closer to soot black and i'm really satisfy,i think i need a little more push.
Here is my Method | 3 Pineapple 2 Apple 2 Pear : feed in this order and get "grow feathers" message from first fruit to the last.
Will post the result in 6 hours before i go to bed.

I got some pears growing and in the meantime I just gave him one of those listed before which were the cheapest xD

Well, Celeste Green would be a tad too bright for my likings (I think. Except there's an easy way to turn it darker from there)

Been checking the values and variables of people "dancing" around soot black and they seem to always land out of range and I have to say that I have no idea where the values on the Google doc are coming from but maybe they are not the right ones. I've been working with both the Doc and another one for reference: http://www.superslothdesign.com/chocobo/
Can't say for sure one is right and the other is not, but those reviewing their feeds and colors and not landing on black but always around is because maybe they should consider a middle point in between. Not saying it's just so, but maybe it helps to reconsider the values too, the formula seems to work quite well now.

On a side note, can someone clarify the proper +5/-5? The way it was worded as one going to 255 while the others to zero is a bit confusing especially when we say +5, means deeper, which means a lower value in fact.

Pears do +5/-5 what, etc?

Current theory is there is only so many colors per feather change. For example 1 feather change using plums will only give you bone white and sylph green. If you do two feather changes in one feeding session it might put you into another color selection.

I did not continue the pattern I gave it some berries and it turned Celestial Green from Sylph green. This was only one feather growth. I gave more berries this morning until it gave the message. We will see what the next color is.

It might be because of my eyes that are totally messed up but... Is it me or Ice blue and Celeste green are almost the same color?

Celeste Green is the lightest in the blue/green range so there's not much difference really.

Kinda liking the effect this has with tidal barding though:

just as you wish >_> it will have the same effect in the end, just the waiting time would change (6 hours if alll at once, 120 hours if 1/1/1 20 times). We can't guarantee though that 20 of each will get you black
