Chocobo dyeing R&D Thread - Post your results here!

Hey guys, i had my chocobo at blood red last night, then gave it berries until i got 1 msg like it was said in this thread. But now its Plum Purple. Any Idea how to get to Dalamung from there?

I would do one round of messages for these -- Pineapple, Apple, Pear ( 1 new feather messages for each to lower blue down 10) and then one round of Pear, Berry, Apple

I decided that I wanted to play with my chocobo's color some more so from her color of Lavender Purple I gave 2 berries with the second one giving the feather message and the result was Raptor Blue.

I am starting to think it's a bit different then we originally thought. I gave mine plums until it gave the feathers message waited. It turned sylph green. I did the same thing again and it turned bone white. Did the same thing again and it went back to sylph green. Did it one more time to get bone white.

Current theory is there is only so many colors per feather change. For example 1 feather change using plums will only give you bone white and sylph green. If you do two feather changes in one feeding session it might put you into another color selection.

I did not continue the pattern I gave it some berries and it turned Celestial Green from Sylph green. This was only one feather growth. I gave more berries this morning until it gave the message. We will see what the next color is.

Would you feed them all at the same time or feed the first ones and wait six hours then feed the next set?

I decided to try for sunset orange instead, so I gave my chocobo 3 valfruit today, and got one feather message, so later today I'll see what I get.

On another note I found out that another friend is also trying for a dalamund red chocobo! He fed his chocobo 40 apples, and got 26 feather procs, and 5 berries and got one feather proc. He was following this spread sheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets...#gid=215539068

It must be wrong though, because in the end he got a sunset orange chocobo.

I added some Domam Plums to lighten red since I think all of the hex numbers have to be lower to hit Marsh Green, and I ended up with Cream Yellow.

Fed another 4 Plums, got 1 feather message and now he's Apple Green >_>;
I don't know what to do to get to Marsh Green.
I have to lighten all three values but when I last fed him apples and such he ended up in the yellows and I don't want that :C

I would feed them all in one sitting

Fed by 22 Apples and 4 Grapes and go sunset orange. I fed them to him all at once.

Anybody know how to get from Plum purple to Iris Purple? Any help would be greatly appreciated.
