You can swap them for a very minor pps loss. It would be a pps GAIN if your ping is causing you to miss the ninth hit of BFB. Using it as HT>BL+BFB>etc should have it last JUST long enough to catch your second 4th hit, but only with 100% uptime on the boss and perfect hitting of the GCD skills. The timing becomes looser with more SS; at 2.40 even it's REALLY tight. If you physically can't make that 9th gcd, it'd likely be a gain for you to swap it. In my opener I use 99.99% of the time (because Potions are expensive and rarely needed) I do:

HT>[BL+B4B]>ID>[IR]>Dis>[BotD]>CT> same as normal

So it's really easy to (if your B4B won't last) just shift the B4B to couple with IR instead without issue. It only becomes a swapping situation with Pots.

604-607 SS is a lot tighter than 640-670, so it'd be up to personal preference and individual latency as to which works best for you.

At i189, solo on a dummy with no party bonus I parse 1190 dps over the course of 3.5 minutes.

My question is, would the party bonus for strength and possible party compositions increase my dps that much? I'm trying to get to the point I can hit 1400-odd dps or something close before I try A1S, because that's the baseline I hear from all the raiders on my server.

Not sure where they are getting 1400 from considering no drg has recorded that amount. Unless they are talking about inflated Faust parses. See here:

They might be talking about 1400 through the boss splitting. That number is usually pretty comparable to your dummy dps. Party buff + comp would be able to boost those numbers a good 10-15%-ish, but won't get you to 1400 without fixing your rotation a bit, I think.

Wouldn't surprise me if it was just bluster from the people I hear from, or odd parse reads maybe. I've personally never been in A1S, been fumbling around trying to form a static.

Its good to know though that the only 1400 parse I see in there is in A2S, which makes sense given what I remember A2 being. Thank you!

Had a thought while looking at cross class skills. Obviously you want IR and mercy for extra damage, but after that your choice is solely for defensive cd's which becomes sort of dubious. Foresight or mantra? Up to you, but I'm looking at bloodbath and wondering if it's really worth it. Generally if I pop bloodbath, the healer has got me and yes I'm using it to make his life easier theoretically, but usually it just means I'm overhealing the damage he's already repaired. I've been sticking with mantra/second wind/bloodbath for some time now but now I'm not so sure. Bloodbath is 90s CD while foresight is 120s, only a 30s difference but I'm kinda curious on which has better mitigation potential, I've seen Thendiel recommend using bloodbath "proactively" rather than say immediately after taking damage, but it still seems strange to me as bloodbath doesn't seem to heal that much from my pov. Any thoughts or am I just being stupid and should keep bloodbath on my bar?

And uh... This might be a more technical question :

To weave double-oGCD between two GCDs, do you just press the button immediately after the first GCD animation starts?
And then mash the 2nd oGCD after the first oGCD animation start?

I'm asking because in the runs I've been, it feels like people can weave in their skills at the most unnatural timing as DRG (at least, for me).

For example, in Dervy's vid, he used HT > BL, but the BL animation starts right after the first movement of heavy thrust (The thrusting one), and not the downward swing.
Where as for me, the BL animation starts after the downward swing of Heavy Thrust, no matter how fast / how much I spam the button.

TL;DR : Is there a trick to weaving / casting oGCD faster? Thank you everyone \o/

Bloodbath doesn't heal that much for me either, but it's enough if you need to solo adds with you tanking it and not letting your healer keep an eye on you.

I couple up bloodbath with skills like Keen Flurry (Yes, I know this skill is bad) and or Foresight (I don't have mantra yet) and then if I'm still missing some chunk of hp, I continue with second wind while moving to the boss to continue poking it xD.

I might be wrong on how-2-crossclass though...
