Hydra is an interesting case, since its a leftover mechanic from the ARR relic questline on 2.0's release. Back then you had to manually zone in with the correct weapon equipped as there was no DF option for it and the chimera till a patch or two down the line, and I assume the "main weapon is locked" bit got left into the instance when it was added to the DF.

and because when you select a gearset, it technically tries to re-equip you with everything on it, the game runs into the "trying to switch your main-hand" part of the gearset function and goes "well you can't do that in this instance."

At least you know what to do if you get Hydra again with the ilvl trick lol.

It has been bothering me for awhile. I want to know if this case is reportable or not.

I got The Praetorium for DR: Main Scenario yesterday, everything went fine as always until we reached Nero fight.
After cutscene went off and the fight started, one of our tanks decided to…afk?
She was not moving at all until we finished the fight.
and the same thing happened again in Gaius fight and then Ultima Weapon fight, and then Lahabrea fight.
I have 1 screenshot that took when Ultima(or Lahabrea) was at 4% and she was just standing there where the barrier went off.

I want to know if I report her and send this screenshot to GM will they take any action for that tank?
I know this is easy dungeon and we can finished it just fine with 1 tank, but I feel like she just came here to leeched us (with Adventure in need benefit) and this is disgusting behavior. :(

I did before queuing up again. Strangely (but pleasantly), I got the Aurum Vale and that party was incredibly nice. They even waited when the GM popped in to talk with me, and the tank kept emote hugging my character. :')

I got Battle at the Big Keep on mentor roulette earlier, and at one point the tank has Greg pointing directly at both healers and most of the dps when he did his cleaving sword dance. All that was left was the tanks and a drg, and the drg died to standing in bad not long after. Me and the other healer just reset because lmao nope, but one of the dps kept yelling at us to use the healer lb3 from outside the barrier over and over again. I did my best to explain that the lb won't do anything to help them because we're both outside the barrier, but they just kept saying it.

I only got a comm from the other healer by the end of it.

I believe you can lower your ilvl, queue, then re-equip your stuff after registering and be fine. At least that works for me when I don't want Rabanastre

Someone from here bumped into Selli in Eureka this afternoon and wished me a happy birthday. I won't say who it was, just in case they wanted to stay anonymous, but thank you so much. That was really sweet of you and it made my day. ;;

Today was a very good day for me as a tank. First as a PLD :

-Stone vigil with 3 kind and great newbies who did mechanics perfectly. Got all comms.
-Hullbreaker Isle where we struggled with the last boss but had some good laughs. 2 comms.
-Did a roulette trial for the first time. Got Bismark normal Other tank was a WAR. After telling the team it was my first time in trial, they all reassured me, saying I will do fine. And the boss went down really fast without casualties. 4 Comms. Now I want to make more trial roulettes !

Then as a DRK because I thought "Now that I'm good at tanking, I should try DRK again" :

-Hauke Manor. Before the second boss, team members told me how great of a DRK I was and how glad they were to get me. The former one was apparently bad and a terrible person. Got all comms and tons of "congrats" or "bow" emotes from them.
Time to lvl up DRK too !

I was queued up for for the Trial roulette, and I had removed my armor to lower the ilvl in order to avoid the more annoying ones. Zone into the arena, hit my WHM armor set, but it won't let me change automatically. Kept tossing up an error about "can't change weapons now". No idea why that wasn't working. So I rushed to put on all the armor manually, finished right as Hydra was being pulled.

It was a pretty ugly fight. AoE puddles were all in the center, majority of the group kept getting hit with hysteria, few deaths, etc. But hey, we cleared quickly despite it all.

Then as we're leaving, one of the tanks made a quip of "I got to watch an unhysteria'd healer not heal me for 10 seconds whilst i burned to death :') ". I mean, if I was doing absolutely nothing I would have accepted his snark in stride. But that wasn't the case, and so I told him to piss off and pointed out that half the party was dying, and was working on raises.

To that, I get "too busy looking at your nude lalafell going in to care about playing properly".

SIGH.

I did get two comms though, so that's nice :)

Awww. What a jerk but it sounds like you handled a rough situation pretty well. I could not imagine the challenge you must have faced trying to heal while manually putting all your clothes on. It is a funny image though.

"Will you all just wait one cotton pickin' minute while I put my dress on?" *chuckles*

It also changes what "DPS/Healer/Tank" needed shows up.
