So.....this morning I was in queue for normal raid roulette. While I was waiting, one of my cats decided to have a brief rampage, and managed to get caught on the USB cables connecting my mouse and keyboard to my PS4 and knocked them over. Picked them up, but before I could do anything else, the queue popped.

So I load into Alexander Prime. And then I try to move to dodge Sacrament, and.....wait, why am I walking instead of running? Why am I dead?

Get raised, try moving some more....still just walking?

Apparently when the keyboard fell, they hit a button that toggles auto-run to auto-walk. Being primarily a controller player (I keep a keyboard connected in case I have to communicate, but I don't play on it), I didn't even know there was a key that did that. Whoops.

Barbie "farm" parties have been such a treat.
Normally right after release, Ex PF quality is pretty good. You get the raid addicts that jump at the chance to beat something into submission and are good at it for a couple of weeks but after 4-6 weeks it starts to decline. Not with Ex 4.

Saw a party with a healer slot open, AST already in and I hopped in on SGE.
The whole party kept dying left and right before tangles 2, nevermind reaching (or surviving) the tumults. So when we finally got past tangles 2 (farm party btw), I noticed that I had to EProg a lot in additional to all my oGCDs. Mitigation was non-existent as usual in PF but something else was off.
Yep, AST sitting proudly at 1k dps and healing less than 1/3 of what I healed. we ended up disbanding after reaching enrage with 25% left.

Next party, I joined on DNC.
I've noticed an alarming lack of certain SGE buff icons I'd recognize everywhere and also that healing was kinda slow while I frequently saw GCD heals from the WHM.
Tangles 2, was in a puddle with someone who, for some reason constantly stuck to me no matter which side I went to. One puddle from them got dropped in front of me, my own puddle dropped, I tried to dodge both while dodging the circle aoe but made the wrong decision and got nuked.
No problem because enum was on me so nobody else died. Everyone else was perfectly fine and fairly healthy because the WHM snuck in some Medica II.
I saw the SGE using Swift, run around for a bit and do nothing, Swift ran out, more running around, more doing nothing, used a Prognosis, more running around and doing nothing and ultimately the party died to Tumults. And then came the best part: the WAR asked what happened there and SGE said "one death from the dps caused all this chaos".
Oh no, mate. You're not getting away with trying to blame me for being incapable of pushing buttons.
So I asked if he seriously intends to blame my death (which was partly my fault, that I know) for not healing at all during tumults.
The WAR just wrote "ouch :p", one dps left with "farm party btw ..." and the SGE party leader ended up disbanding.

So I thought I'd dig out my naughty tool and take a look.
Well, well. 0 Pneuma, 0 Panhaima, 2 Kera, 1 Physis II and some Prognosis with 60% overheal, their only actions from the end of tangles 2 to end of tumult were indeed Swift and a single Prognosis. And below 50% uptime the whole time. Yes, I'm sure a DNC dying during tangles 2 was the problem. If they get paralyzed with fear and are incapable of pushing heal buttons the moment someone died even if it had no consequences for anyone else, maybe play another role.

And this went on for about 6h with one party worse than the last.

First time I dropped my keyboard and that happened made an interesting Titan EX...took me a few minutes and asking people to finally get it fixed. Most people had chalked it up to me being a Dragoon back then.

To the Troia group I met in Expert Roulette as a SCH, that was the fastest and chillest run ever.
Only used 1 Lustrate to slightly give some hp and just to roll Aetherwave in last pull, it was silly for me but hey enjoyable

This week started off pretty strong: several more Castrum Meridianums in Mentor Scenario Roulette, a single-pull Hydaelyn backfill that took about 13 minutes because someone disconnected and two others spent most of the fight unconscious, and 50 minutes in P7N across two attempts because I was courteous enough to quickly pass on several gear pieces, causing everyone else to get one. Course, it didn't help that all my rolls were a few digits below the 1-2 other rollers on each piece, nor was it clear why a backfill prompt during the second queue instantly vanished due to a mysterious withdraw, forcing me to wait several more minutes.

I've yet to even see a wipe in the other three normal raids. I'm already skipping Unreal so it'd suck to have to pass on that too, but oh well.

Another PF tale, but a good one this time!

Huge lovely shoutout to the Diamond Ex group I was in last night. All of them were awesome--super nice and funny and good teammates. Virtually no deaths (except the one tank who just...walked off the deck? and then explained in chat that his cat walked on his keyboard :D), consistently skipping Auri Arts, and we settled in at about 3:40 clears. Everyone got their gwibs (and quite a few mats, too!) and most importantly, had a ton of fun doing it.

I've been grinding a lot of EX mounts in PF recently, and this was the smoothest and most enjoyable farm in a long time. Sometimes it's fun to teach newbies a fight, and sometimes chaos runs scratch my monkey brain, but sometimes it's even better to be part of well-oiled machine.

I'm really glad we all ended up on each other's friends list by the end of the night, and I hope to play with them again sometime.

I died. The party then proceeded to vote-kick my rotting corse outta the gungeon. The End, Fin.

Had an intersting Void Ark run a few hours ago.
We somehow managed to almost fail the second boss by charging the „tree“ in the middle to 100%, which results it to spam roomwides every 3-4? seconds. (can this be considered as an enrage?)
Even more fun was that we actually lost to the final boss because, once it splits into 3, the mobs weren’t seperated resulting in our death once it reformed into 1 again.
I think this is the first time since HW that I saw it happen lol.

Rest of the party bit the dust on the second boss of Dead Ends. I proceeded to solo it because WAR is fair and balanced. Got vote kicked as soon as combat ended. Got a nasty tell afterward calling me rude (and a few other words that'll get me banned if I post them on the forums) for ruining the fight by not giving people the chance to learn it. Kek.

That's not a reaction I've ever seen to this sort of thing. Most groups are usually cheering the person left standing on.
