it wont take that long, he posted it was the worst patch ever within 7 this time. barely enough to power through everything.

I am all for constructive criticism but this is beyond that, this is a personal beef with the devs/writers and he is not willing to even remotely have open discussion :P

It is already make. Elpis it invent the Philia Cheesie Stake first. No Shadow God cook it with the love of the cheesie. But difficulty to find now. It is rare.

The story right now just sucks. Weak filler. Maybe one day we will find out if Y'shtola reunites with her one true love Big the Cat.

ngl i don't think the story is necessarily god-tier, i also don't think it's bad (and it does have it's many different flaws, some of which i still think about as they relate to the derivative source material for the asphodelos raid series).

however, i do think your criticisms do not generate improvements if i am to be polite, kind and semi-professional.

The long and short of it is that the players have no control of where the story is going to go especially since they rushed the main story to it's conclusion(just like every story arc they introduced and dropped at the sound of a pin dropping). Even moreso that the old writers have been relocated to FF16 and are letting some newer writers take over the writing direction. And I mean who can blame them if they drop questlines on a whim. Just think of how pissed the writers must feel. All that effort to start something new and they just scrap it.

It's gonna be aimed more at newer players just coming in.

Probably best to just enjoy the ride for what it is.

Criticism won't generate improvement but neither will blind Zeal. The only language they understand is money. Deny them money and then maybe things will shift around but as long as they have all that sub money coming in nothing will change.

I think for those that care enough about the state of the game they will see if 7.0 changes things up and that might be a deciding point on whether to continue playing or take a extended break or quit altogether.

I'm seeing a lot of issues springing up given the rapid decline in storytelling, streamlined combat and dead on arrival content(barring masochist raiding environments), and a PvP grind, shit housing system designed for the richer players.

Where the story goes in 7.0, how they will execute Hrothgals(if they have a hairstyle or hat problem it's gonna be pretty bad) and if they will make changes to PvE combat(2 minute fell cleave warrior meta such wow) to bring it more in line with PvP(more fun), and endgame gearing(big issue for many players IMO).

And I think they just pay attention to game data and the JP playerbase. I feel like behind the scenes it's just a big mess.

Everytime I see Yoshi's face on a Liveletter this man is just tired and looks fed up.

Sadly boycotting/voting with your wallets never works, as seen with countless other MMOs and franchises. Companies are content to allow their games or franchises to decline and will ignore criticism that would put them back on the track. They'll milk the people still hanging on as much as possible until the thing is finally dead, and then reboot it a decade later to try to cash in on nostalgia and brand name recognition.

That's only certain companies and certain IPs.
Yoshi P isn't perfect but I'd be wiling to bet he's one of the few heads that truly cares about the game they're running

It's funny. But simply he sometimes makes such a statement about the content situation, how the game is, how it develops, as if he tried absolutely every piece of content in the game and understands every aspect of the game (I would not be surprised if even in Lord of Verminion he is a master). Although in fact the OP doesn't like the game and is trying to make a point that everyone doesn't like the game, either in terms of story or gameplay

If anything, I don't think the game is perfect and there are moments both good and bad. But far from being as deplorable as OP is trying to make it out to be. Who, in my opinion, has a slightly weaker idea of the game than it actually is. And he started playing somewhere near the end of SHB

Sad truth because I don't think over half of the active players are gonna drop what they are doing. Veteran players from earlier expansions much like the voice of this forum are just a small minority in the grand scheme of things.

I mean I resubbed for the PvP gear because FOMO so I'm part of the problem.

There's also the reality that if you spend your time mainly here on these forums, you start getting the impression that the "negative" takes are actually normalized across the playerbase. In reality, the game as it one of its highest points of all time, with EW being rated almost as high as ShB and having a significantly larger playerbase to boot (even the "lulls" late in patches are much more active than similar "lulls" in past expansions). Most of the players are simply playing the game and enjoying it rather than complaining here.

Correct. The ingame community is a much better place then the Forums, Influencers or the The Balance.

The Expansion sold very well and that's all that really matters. I don't foresee too many changes.
