Well atleast now we know something more, I'd have no problem with this if he said it month ago.

I'd like to first apologize for the lack of information that has been released lately and I know that you're all very anxious to hear about the upcoming 1.21 content. I'm sorry that we've not been as speedy as you all would like and I want to reiterate that information is coming and I hope you'll all find it to have been worth the wait.

In fact, Yoshida has just posted (at 5:30am Saturday...) some details that I hope will help to explain the current situation. Without further ado...

I have been checking the overall balance and making necessary adjustments to the job quests since last weekend. The job quests seem to be giving us the most trouble and I have my hands all tied up to make sure it’s ready for the public.

Speaking of 1.21, unfortunately, the release date is looking like somewhere between the 6th~9th of March due to the tall order of adjustments requested by yours truly. I deeply apologize for repeatedly pushing back the release date of the patch, but please bear with us just a while longer.

I don’t think it’s fair for the community if I cut the comment off here so let me take advantage of the dev booth (since I seem to be the only one left here) by taking some screen shots of the job quests and posting them here…

The man finally speaks! The delay was on par with what I've been saying all along (second week of March). Now I just hope that they will stick with it and not delay it again. The job quest SS's don't really show much, but at least that black mage npc looks hella cool.

I was right! In the beginning of this thread I said ONE MONTH DELAY..and look at that =P Didn't want to be right though ._. Does this effect the April patch!?

No patch affects each other because they're worked on in parallel, not after one is completed. The only time something delayed all patches was due to a natural disaster.

They won't say it does, but the patch is bound to get delayed regardless.

Nothing happened to it, they couldn't release the patch in mid month like it was planned. Delays happen in all forms of media, so now you either pay or you don't..if you already pay to play, what's the big deal?

You're likely right on the timing (likely an upper management push), but I don't really mind that much. Personally I was playing either way as I am subbed for 90 days currently with plans to renew for 180.

i wonder if kukuluka is a girl now... its hard to find out with only the name and one eye ^~^

Oh, it's not a big deal. I was basing my decision on continuing to pay on 1.21's content. Not letting me test it before paying means no money for them. I'll have to concentrate on RL anyway.

Just wanna note how funny it is that no matter if something is posted or not, people complain reguardless. If it still needs work then by all means, don't release it. I'd rather have a finished product rather than a broken one. You guys are doing great! Keep it up!

I quoted it because it makes sense to continue the same way for future patches. If they want our money, they have to prove the game is worth it. I am not paying in advance, did that mistake with the CE.

edit: to re-iterate: i'm not complaining about the delay itself; i'm complaining about putting the release date exactly after a new billing period starts. Might be a coincidence, but I don't believe in those.

Educated guess. At best if it were left as Shatoto it's still a throwback for fans. It could also be a typo on their part since those quests are still being finalized. All they're missing is an ン and a ッ　afterall.

A Vee stone could be used in place of Vivi, or a Vivite even and it would still be related to Vivi in the minds of the familiar.

I'm not sure either..but everyone loves Tarus lol. I do like her Rhyming style in English localization though.
