True, but that was for a different theme. “Casual” could apply to many hats in the game and the clue could switch off depending on the theme

I was guessing this week will be DoM BiS but nothing from the hints suggests so x.x
The boots might be the Gaganaskin Fringe Boots. Which would mean you'd need a level 61 gatherer this week if so.
That seems a bit too obvious considering the "Pirates in the Sky" hint from a few weeks ago, now that I think about it.
I thought of that ring because of the stone's description "an ancient artifact believed to contain the soul of a legendary dragon", although after reading the German description, I think an Ultima ring might be a better match now.
Also, I might be wrong but the hint "Keeping it casual" might lead to any "keeper's" item, maybe? As as others have already pointed out, the same hint was gold on the fisher's hat (which is called "tackleKEEP"), but focusing twice on the same class would look unfair to other players, so maybe we should look at other "keepers" now. The carpenter hat for example, also look like a flat cap, and although the shoes seems to point to the gatherers', if I remember correctly, they should be wearable by all classes.
Chest could be Winter Sweater or Adventuring Sweater. The first one would fit the winter theme, the second the overall wanderer/wayfarer theme.
As much as I'd like to say the Flat Cap, it is true that if it worked for one theme, might not for another; just keep an open idea on it still.
Top can certainly be the winter sweater and the boots, being I have just one pair would be the Dhalmelskin Fringe Shoes or the Serpentskin Fringe Shoes. Tooth and Nail - well, I hope it isn't the new beast men nails cause I haven't unlocked them yet and for the ring, I'm clueless as my special ring inventory isn't so grand :/
Dhalmelskin and Serpentskin Fringe Boots have the same model, can also be dyed but have no job restriction. The various Jackboots have fringe running down the sides and can be dyed.
There's also the Dhalmelskin/Serpentskin Bush Hats that might be the preferred item for the head if the Survival Hat is the wrong one that also lack a job restriction unlike the Gaganaskin version.
"Fringe" makes me think it's got something to do with the SB zone. Any significant characters or gear relevant to the area?
Would not be surprised if the hands are indeed the Ananta glamours. The Ixal crafting gloves also give long nails I think, but highly doubt they're a consideration.

I guess they're pretty sharp. Dyable too.
French version !
Theme : Good walker ("Grand marcheur", who can walk a lot and for a long time)
Head : relax ("Décontracté")
Chest : winter ("Hiver")
Hands : claw/talon ("Griffe")
Feet : fringes ("Franges")
Ring : imagination/fancy/whim/costume ("Fantaisie")
Well...some differences, but the french version proved itself several times to be crap...
I bet hand are dyed Claws of the Beast (regular MGP item).
I highly doubt that - even though the german version can be not-so-great at times, this would be a pretty shitty move.
The german hint is "Fransig" (which translates to fringe), but the area thats called "The Fringes" in english is called "Abanisches Grenzland" (Abanian Borderlands) in german - while I can see the possible connection in english there is no connection at all in german...
If you want to go ahead with it though, I'd suggest taking a look at the foot-wear of the M-tribe!

This is what I'm going to try:
Head: Dhalmelskin bush hat (pretty sure it's wrong but it fits too well with the rest so fudge it lol)
Chest: Adventuring sweater (the reason why I'm exhausted

Sorry for the spam.. I should stop trying to post from my crappy phone... >_>
yeah my set is similar but i dont have the adventurer sweater just the winter. So cross our fingers we have an idea :)
Tacklekeep's Hat is still gold, and Claws of the Beast are gold. Gaganaskin Fringe Boots are four stars, Glacial Coat was three stars, but the Meteor Survival ring was a no-go at only one star.
Updated for 100 points!

Main hand: any dyeable (Sky Blue)
Head: Flat Cap (Coral Pink)
Body: Adventuring Sweater (Metallic Purple)
Hands: Claws of the Beast (Metallic Purple)
Legs: any dyeable (Coral Pink)
Feet: Serpentskin Fringe Boots (Metallic Gold)
Ring: Ultima Band of _____
Winter Sweater is only 3 stars undyed (same as Glacial Coat and Highland Smock) so it's definitely the Adventuring Sweater you want.
does anybody find an alternative? I think there should be one with at least 4 star but i can't test anymore :s
christmas body are only 2 stars (the both)
I just tried this week's on an alt and I got 80% with
Head: Flat Cap (Dalamud red) =gold coin
Body: Winter Sweater (Gloom purple) = 4 stars
Hands: Claws of the Beast (undyed) =gold coin
Legs: any dyeable (I had mine red, but told royle blue might do better)
Feet: dhalmelskin Fringe Boots (Cream Yellow) = gold coin
I do not have an Ultima Band of X to test right now, but plan to try and find one before the week end is over.

I'm starting to find the need for very rare crafting items incredibly annoying. I'd rather it be something that is relatively easily obtainable but encourages running older content. Needing, for example, several pieces of a rare drop ONLY available from Lost Canals turns people off. We've all had "farming" runs where the same person gets the needed item multiple times (either by direct drops or by rolling multiple times) whilst we get nothing.
Just my opinion, of course, but I can't see the point of having a game system available to low level players who need to be doing end game content farming to stand a chance of 'winning'.
This week's choices of dyes seemed rather inappropriate for the theme.
Would've expected earthy colors like brown and green to be the ideal ones for what's supposed to be a hiking outfit or some such.
Not necessarily hiking. Looks more appropriate for a walk down the runway at a fashion show.
Re: end game content, seriously. There's a single piece of gear (the claws) that I, as a pre-60 player, even have access to (barring the MB).
But, as I've said before, I kinda understand it; there's a significant lack of diverse glamour gear available at lower levels. Bit of an awkward minigame in that regard.
At least they made the participation reward a pretty chunk of change, so, despite the disappointment that we can't feel "successful" at this, it's not a total waste of time, getting scolded for our lack of fashion sense. (wouldn't mind seeing them change the loser "defecated" comments changed to something a little more positive/supportive, rather than discouraging)
Just about every MMO treats their version of a glamour system as an endgame activity even if lower level players can participate. Collecting glamours is something for players to do when they run out of end game content for the week.
It seems like the only players I see complaining about this are level 70 players. Low level players are probably too worried about leveling to do more than take their 10k MGP for participating (if they even know it exists) then head back to the MSQ.
I might've pulled it off with Chantico Lucis, but I haven't yet achieved proficiency enough to acquire the item. Lacking a main hand that was dyable (being stuck with CUL having the appropriate ring), score fell just short.
I never said anything about achieving a perfect score to feel successful. Even 80 is difficult enough to achieve. Which isn't to say difficulty is bad. Just, why bother unlocking this at 15 if any reasonable success is out of reach until 50 at the minimum?
Flat cap is a level 45 weaver recipe that uses only common level 45 mats. Claws - gold saucer item. The ultima ring is from a level 50 instance. Thats 3/5 of the items this week. And while the boots are level 60, they are cheaply crafted and available at a merchant. The sweater is the only "suck" item this week(as in, that would suck to have to get). The hat ring and claws alone, plus dyes in the right color range(coral pink is sold by the sahagin vendor, sub any purple color for the metallic and probly a yellow for the gold) and you'll probly(i havent tried yet, but this is my plan) have a score in the 85 to 94 range. Thats good for all the MGP this week. You can always wait for a week without a total suck item to shoot for 100(or with a suck item that you have because this is a glamour challenge and you already picked it up to use as a glamour).
Last week i got an 81 with 2 of the right items and colors that were close or right. This week should be even less of a problem.
Oh geez. Shows how much I'm paying attention. Thought that was a Proto Ultima ring. Changes things slightly. And I must've been remembering (or looked up) the wrong cap. Well don't I look the fool.
because 10k MGP for a Lv 15 character is a whole lot, anyone can get Lv 15 day 1 of the game, Lv 50 is not even a 3rd of the game at this point. being able to get 10k every week from Lv 15-50 is not a bad deal. needing Lv 50 to reasonably get 80 is not a big deal, why would the rest of us level to 70 and level our crafts if a Lv 15 character can achieve what we can?
because it's an ACHIEVEMENT to get a perfect score.
Dont worry about it, we all make mistakes. Before i responded i actually looked up each of those items again to make sure I wasnt about to miss-state something. And you arent wrong that getting/having/making a good glamour(let alone a specific one that Rose asks for) is harder at a lower level, this week just happens to be a bit easier then you first thought.
If you dont wanna buy an ugly sweater then you have two options. You can run hidden canals and try to get the linen you need to make(or have made) that sweater, or you can wait until next week when you wont need that ugly sweater for a perfect score. The achievement is only given once, you dont need 100 points every week. And in the weeks so far we've seen crafted gear, vendor gear(gil, mgp, tokens and scrip), event gear, primal gear(so far only level 50), and dungeon gear all appear as best in slot. Thats some pretty good variety if you ask me.
