Relic: Your progress on the Grind.

With my limited game play time, I think I'm going to just do my roulettes and start on the new beast tribes. I may finish it in three months lol

Wow man... gated behind Diadem. I cannot get in with anyone and there's no one on my server selling the mats I need... well they are but not many of them and no HQ mats as well. It's a pain I can't finish my Relic because of this. Anyway SE is going to address this issue?

They will likely address it eventually. The historic result of their current implementations of the relic weapon have proven to be a bit much, anyway.

Well I'm in a pickle. I finally got the 3 Relic Items out of 4 I need to get my Relic as I got 12/16 HQ mats obtain and biggest problem right now... I can't find anyone else to craft the final mats I need and the FC mate I send the mats too hasn't gotten back to me yet in 2 days and after crafting the first 3 for me. I got another set of mats to make the Adamantite Francesca and Pterodactyl Strap and they're all HQ mats... but I got broke again in the process. T_T

I don't know what is it about my server, but I cannot find a lot of people willingly to craft and the time zones conflict a lot and the people that can have tight schedules. I managed to get my BSM class to 60, along with ARM, today but I haven't gotten any Lv60 gear and tools yet and I haven't gotten any of the Master Craft Books. Some of the items require a LOT of mats to make Collectibles so I'm only planning on getting the Blue Scrips after I got my final two Crafting classes to 60, but I might need to speed that up as I'm low on Gil and need to start building my savings.

I wish I could craft it myself, but I don't have the recipes unlocked yet and BSM is one of my Specialist Crafts so I got a little extra stat boost to make it.

80/80 Unidentified Items
12/16 HQ Items
5/5 Aether Oils

And I have NO desire to transfer to another Server just for my Relic being crafted. Hopefully tomorrow my FC mate shows up or else I'm going to be mad. Though mats were not easy to come by considering how low in quantity they are in my server, especially for HQ mats. >_>

I'm just right there at the end and this is stopping me. Well I'm get it eventually just got to be a little more patient.

Oh thank goodness I got this over and done with! My crafter friend took a while to make the crafts for me, but they did it! Oh I am so happy I'm going to do the Manderville Dance now! T_T

Im at 5/80 16/16 2/5 but I dont know if I want to keep at it. Im not even sure which healing class I want to main yet... I really dont like this 3.0 relic step.

Just need 10 more shells and onto the HQ items. I told myself I won't be doing relic past step 2, but since I main MCH and I'd like a shiny gun, I made the plunge into this madness @_@

Finished the hyperconductive Draconomicon after four months of passively accumulating tokens. Glamoured it over my lore weapon and placed it in storage to await 3.3 when I can get that crappy spell speed off of it.

Starting to near the esoterics and poetics caps now without the continuous sink of token-buying. Wondering if I should start accumulating tokens again...

It's good to see some people finishing their relic even with some struggle.
In my FC people complaining a looooot about how hard it is...

And here i am watching them while sipping my triple cream coffee with 3 hyperconductive weapon in hand (well 2 and a half... Missing 1 oil for my BLM staff)

I'm currently on 13 Bones, 10 Shells, 10 Ore and 20 Seeds, got all the HQ Crafted Items and Oil ready.

So I guess I'm on the final stretch, been approaching it quite casually so I'm hoping to be done by the end of the month or beginning of next, but hopefully before patch 3.3

I'm currently getting Sahagin Currency for the Shells, Kobold for the Ore and doing Vanu and Vath to cover were I need.

so prolly 2 a week on the ore and shells, using the eso when I can and then the bones being filled up by any excess and poetics.

Im now that 11/80 16/16 5/5. Im not rushing it anymore, and just going it at my pace. Not even sure which healer I want to main anymore anyways. I am leveling SCH now, and liking it.

Its best to go at it casually and not stress yourself out, once you've got all the items you'll just need to have a good think of which healer deserves it the most.

I'm done with mine yay! thanks to being sick and recovering from surgery to be able to play all day! :D

Done! The grind is at an end...finally!!!

Just started step 3 so 5/80.
What I may do is just do my dailies to earn certain tomes to buy the unidentifiable mats plus hunt and do beast tribe quests. :)

Its the most stress free method, doing your roulette's throughout the week as well but not hammering them and you'll get a couple unidentified a week if not more. If you're lucky on the level 60 maps you might even get unidentified from that.

Also if you're only really bothered about the unidentified and you've got the ARR beastmen all at rank 3 (Sylph, Kobold, Sahagin, Amal'jaa) you'll get them a bit sooner compared to the HW ones. Since the unidentified from the arr beastmen are all 13 coins each but they all sell a specific one while the vanu and vath have them all but cost 18 coins but in the same vain you can get 45 eso a day from the Vanu.

So boils down to your preference I guess.

As for me I'm now on 19/11/13/20... I feel so close to the finish line, yet so far.

14/80 on my third healer relic and 3/5 Aether Oils on my second. Slowly but surely I will get my three healer relics xD

I just wanted to pop in here and say, I FRICKIN FINISHED MY FIRST RELIC AT 3 AM THIS MORNING!
I've been very slowly accruing my 80 items since relic dropped. The past 2 or so months, I added Beast Tribe to my dailies. And for the last month, I've been gathering up all the raw materials I needed for the crafted items (HQing what I could). Found some amazing crafters, bought my last two items, and pulled the Aether Oils off my retainer. I'm so happy ;_; but omg the grind was horrible >.>

If you're talking about the standard relic, still on the Animus phase (need to complete 8 more books). For Heavensward, no progress yet.

So close... just six more items, a handful of crystals, and 10 dungeons.

ETA: Saturday Afternoon assuming social life doesn't get in the way (it will)

The HW relic isn't worth the grind. At least the ARR relic had you going to all the maps and grinding FATEs; so by the end of it, you spent endless hours fighting several different things. With HW, they jumped straight into raid humping for an ungodly amount of time, and they chose the 4 raids that everyone was already sick to death of running.

At least for step 2 they pulled their heads somewhat out of their ass and brought interest back to Crystal Tower; but that first grind is nauseating and shows the devs to be remarkably lazy in its concern.

17 Bone, 12 ore, 7 shells, 11 seeds, 3 Aether Oils and 8 of the necessary craft able items. I'm still a bit off but I'm finally seeing light at the end of the tunnel. It's not looking so bleak anymore.

Update: I now have 66/80, I need 4 more hq items, and 4/5 oils. I am getting my last oil on Tuesday. :D

You realise there is a lot of other ways to get the Unidentified items right? I don't think I got one from Gordias.

As for me I have my first 230 Anima (whm) and a bunch others at the second (200) step. I actually have gotten enough materials now to max out a second Anima but decided to wait till that 3rd step sees a nerf so I can trade in my spoils and get more completed animas.

All the other ways are boring too. Grind yo Beast Tribes for 5-6 days for 1 token, grind yo tomestones, grind out yo RNG maps, grind yo hunts, grind yo boring ass raid no one wants to run. Need crafted items? Better grind out some gil too.

Would not do it again. It takes much less effort to run Midas 4 once a week and 3 weeks of Lore farm to get a 230 weapon.

So much this, I don't even know if I want to finish mine until they nerf it a bit. This step is ridicilous.

50/80 tokens down and 5/5 oils. Got every crafted item but the mirrors so far. This relic is killing me slowly on the inside. Please send help.

Currently working on items for my 3rd anima, I'm at 60/80, have yet to use a single treasure map. This grind isn't that bad when you think about it. Also the ability to pay a lot less for my items since I can make them helps a bit.

I'm at 1/5 Oils for my third Hyperconductive.

I'm amassing Beast Tribe tokens for a potential 4th Anima, but I'm not really sure what it would be.

I'm unsure if this has been asked here or elsewhere but what are the drop rates like on the Heavensward treasure maps?

Finished as of 5/22/16, 10:30pm. Now that its over the last thing I feel like doing is using it XD

I have everything in my inventory but three Shells. I will get those last three shells tonight or tomorrow. I made all of the HQ crafted items myself (minus the ARM items but my FC leader made them for me for free), thereby sticking to my original plan of refusing to pay millions of gil for these items (at the time this "quest" came out all of my crafters were level 50 or below). I have 4 of the Aether oils as well, and can get the last one tonight by running the weekly.

Now, my problem is I don't know if I should do AST or SCH. I'll probably stick with AST, but want to be 100% sure as I sure as hell won't be doing this crap a second time.

I am so done with my relic. Now I'm broke, but on the bright side it's complete. XD
