is windows 8 better than windows 7? and who wants to thumb wrestle me!! ? no offense to players w/o thumb / thumbs :P

^ I think it is. Although I have yet to try it on an older system with older hardware. Although I'm sure it would work very well, with proper drivers of course. It is not only faster than windows 7, but once you get used to it, its even easier to find what you need, plus it uses less memory. BTW I have yet to come across any incompatibilities with games or programs, and things seem to run faster than they used to on windows 7.

Windows 7 is said to have slightly better gaming performance then 8.
