Any game that tries to have "good graphics" on a hardware that can't support them.

Anyone noticed that he's an Elezen?
PS3 is old hardware and as the people at SE said, it was definitely a challenge in putting FF14 on the PS3 due to its limitations.
Also a mmorpg on a console is a completely different beast from a normal game on a console, so something had to be downgraded.
So people need to stop whining for whining sake, because their will be a PC version for you to get then.
Hein or Hyne is a boss from from Final Fantasy III. This is NOT from VI, for those of you not in the loop about the American renames for IV and VI. III was only released in Japan until it was re-released on the Nintendo DS in 2006.
Hyne is also referenced in FFVIII.as the origin of all sorcery.
Games with good graphics but bad FPS on PS3?
Let's start with ....
Bayonetta
Skyrim
mass effect 3
DC Universe Online (HORRIBLE FPS, like 7 second lag when opening a menu where the entire game freezes to load the UI)
Fallout 3
Dark Souls
That does not make any of these bad games, but they all had major frame rate issues on PS3. And they had amazing graphics, especially dark souls. But dark souls bad FPS got me killed many times when the game would pause for just a split second when trying to make a dodge or jump.
Oh I know another game on PS3 with low FPS - Final Fantasy XI. Here is a console-war comment for you but Final Fantasy XI on Xbox 360 had absolutely dreadful FPS. Have you PLAYED at Fafnir on 360 ? Or besieged? Gotten your 3 FPS?
If the PS3 was capable of supporting FFXIV at a higher resolution with better graphics at 60 FPS, square enix would do it. They said many times they ran into issues with the ram and gpu (512 shared for both) not having enough resources. So if they turned up the graphics, FPS (which is likely 30 instead of 60, if I had to guess) would drop from 30 to 1-15.
What I'd like SE to do, is add a graphics toggle in-game. Something the PS2 always needed. We really needed an option to turn off all the shadows, dust effects, weather effects, etc on Xbox 360. As well as an option to turn on every graphics setting as we see fit (maybe we're posing for screenshots? Maybe we're in a house? Maybe we're soloing and there aren't other players? Or maybe we're in town and we need high fps just to walk around).
Optimization doesn't mean that it'll get better this. When Yoshi mentioned optimization, he meant in a way that it'll be set to fit all types of machine speeds, graphic stress levels, and etc. So we can't say for sure that it'll be better or worse yet. We'll have to "Wait 'n See" :p
I am wondering when we'll find out the hard drive requirements and how much of the game is hard drive dependent. It seems like a great way to reduce lag might be to get an SSD hard drive for FFXIV.
It could be much worse :P

Can you guess which one is console!?
