If the game's fun for you, that's sunshine and rainbows darlin'.
For those of us with real lives and families to support? The casual aspect of the game's gone. I rolled a tank and respectably enjoy the content and helping others out.
When queues are high up in the 15-30 minute range for a tank to get a party (aka DPS are missing?); not interested.
I assumed the role of tank because it worked for my playtime and style. It's $311.76 a year I'm saving now that I've cancelled this and my spouse's subscription. (yes, even with discount.)
Everyone does it differently, it's their cup of tea, that's great. When my diminished playtime is no longer tangible, it's a lost sale and the best way people like me who actually work for a living justify it?
Unsubscribing.
I've justified myself many, many times and people on my social networks are tired of hearing about it. Simply put, I'm done and that many more people are happy. I hope the game improves, but I expect really nothing to come of it.
tl;dr Enjoy the game if you can. If you can't, speak with your wallet
Because less subs hurts them deeply.
Less players is never a good thing yet some people here speak on these forums as if they've never interacted with another human being before by saying things such as.
"Another whine thread." or "Don't let the door hit you on the way out."
The real problem is participation lockouts on ScOB. Is it any wonder that so many players who are blocked from content have flung themselves on the hunt system?
I must question why the glamour items cost a Sands of Time and another Mark Log (not literally, but literally). One of these makes you look pretty, while the other... actually helps you end game. Just some odd design aspects with the Hunt in general.
If they made daily hunts worth more seals, or even worth it in general i guess, then I would do them. As it stands I don't bother with hunts at all, mostly because I just feel like doing other things like crafting and lvling alt jobs. Someone said it earlier, and I agree with them, if the hunts in this game functioned more like the Mark system from FFXII, they would be so much fun lol. I really should go play that game again some time.... :P
