idk if they've got all the info but gamerescape's wiki ( http://ffxiv.gamerescape.com/wiki/Frilled_Shark ) etc has been putting in desynth result tables.

It seems they moved (and I updated with the new site), and then moved back a couple days later. The link should be fixed by the time someone reads this.

Hi folks! Ya'll doing the Ixal Beast Quests? You should. Best way to get I 70 Crafting mats. First mats I used to make a vanya glove lining, Desynthed and got a Fieldcraft Demimateria III. This is certainly something you should look at when leveling the 70+ grind with. Supposedly the highest tier of rep with Ixal will allow access to i90 mats and that could be one hell of a closer for leveling.

I'm extremely demotivated to continue this quest to get my supra and level my desynth.

I think I'm 75.8 now with my carpenter I get 60% chance on i70 gear.

I botched garuda bow. Mog bow. 4 spruce pattens and 2 straight stepping stumps.


I need advice. ?? Should I go back to desynthing i55??

I'm really not sure what to do now. Wasted so many shards time and money on this. :(

Myth Mats will probably cost 7 oaknuts each, so I won't really count on that. Still due to the hunts myth mats are reasonably priced.

Also, good luck trying to push the price down on GC mats more than a few k. There is an enormous demand

Well its mostly player generated I filled every desynth that I have done on armorer for instance. So the more people that visit and update the more accurate the range results will be.

Question though, has anyone tried to desyn the crafting stations or manor instruments? I am thinking about trying as I do not have the ability to get the CUL or ALC artisan's and I wonder would that give mastercrafts or just field craft 3s.

I see no reason why those would give Mastercrafts. Mastercrafts, so far, have only been obtainable from endgame crafting/gathering gear that required heavy amounts of turn-ins to get. Artisans and Foragers only, so far. I can see them being obtainable from the Ixali i70 gloves, but those are currently set to Desynthable: No. I really hope they change that soon, as it would give LTW a way to get Mastercrafts, leaving only CUL with no (known & confirmed) way to get them.

Picked up GSM desynthing an hour ago and i was surprised to get a FC1 demimateria from initiate's needle 2 times at 36-38 skill lvl, might help someone out there.

Can somebody tell me when they made the switch to ilevel 90 crafts? I was happy to see my iLevel 70 desynthesis chance higher than 80% (with the help of inserted materia). So I made my first Carbuncle chair (carpenter) and then saw, I have a whoppin 35% chance to succeed. O_o. For an item you need unspoiled nodes and 500 myth for and people paying 200.000 GIL on the market for it lol. Insane much, SE?

So do I have to make hundreds of ilevel 70 crafts and push my DOH to 100% before I can start to destroy iLevel 90 crafts with a reasonable chance? I already now do not get much experience anymore, between 0,10-0,19 per craft. So it is really, really slow if I do not put millions of GIL in it and buy the crafting mats on the market board.

Nyalia -- in your OP the info for the Gigantshark is wrong. Mooch is from a Merlthor Goby -> Gigantshark. Double mooch from Merlthor Goby -> Ogre Barracuda -> Gigantshark is supposed to be possible, but all mine have been the single mooch off the Merlthor. And best bait is a Lugworm. Minnows get all sorts of trash fish, but Lugworms limit you to Merlthor Gobys or Finger Shrimp .. much less hassle.
