ANd now I just trials roulette on my Dragoon, got Shiva Hard.
Start the fight...
Heavy Thrust -> Impulse Drive -> Blood for Blood -> Sprint -> ... Wait, Sprint?!
Stupid Wcrossbar triggered while I was weaving in ogcd's in my opener...

Ouch. That RNG.
In an unrelated note, I wanted to give props to the healer in Xelphatol who healed my stupid lolblm ass when I took two AoEs to the face just for the sake of my deeps. In my defence, I don't usually do that unless my friend is healing but the final boss was nearly dead and I was totally prepared to eat it.
Yesterday I healed a sastasha with a marauder that kept using blood for blood, and an archer that kept pulling -_-
Literally just finished the worst Weeping City run I've ever had (granted, it was my second one but I still remembered most of the mechanics). It lasted over 90 minutes.
Our tank constantly ignored mechanics on Ozma, causing our alliance to wipe which eventually led to the other alliances not being able to handle the fight and wiping. While Forgall wasn't smooth either, we managed to at least get through that one with minimal casualties, but Ozma...
At least the final boss wasn't a wipefest, but I am glad I finished that run. My head hurts from all the rezzing stress and I wasn't even playing healer >.<
My Sohm Al group didn't get three-feet from the door before the healer dc'd during the first pack, wiping us all... The tank then proceeded to keep pulling things without a healer, killing us a few times before he finally left... Fastest Sohm Al I've ever done... Back into the queue I go. ._.

Was doing aery on a sch (not my main and havnt played it for a while) loaded in, cast protect and the tank ran off to do pulls immediately. I'm following trying to re-figure out my bars the tank died.. Ok a derp moment on me. Tank refuses to try dungeon anymore and proceeds to afk at entrance....
I decided to grab a bite to eat and the other 2 party members sided with me so they decide to no vote abadon.... 15 minutes later the tank finally decides to take the penalty.
Got a new tank and cleared in 17 minutes from the restart
So, I just got out of a run of Weeping City (farming for the monk gear since I hit 60 yesterday, and I am in desperate need of some gear of some kind XD). Went in with a friend (me on BRD, and him on DRK). Everything was going smoothly: killing the trash quickly, killing Arachne Eve quickly with like no deaths I saw. Get to Forgall, going smooth.
So the lb3 pops, and he's at like 5%. I haven't ran on BRD in a while, and I am in love with BRD lb3. So I'm like YAY! and use it (because again, he's at like 5% by the time it pops, and dropping). He dies shortly after, and some monk shoes drop. I rolled a 5 (RNG, why), so I'm talking to my friend in LS about it when a SMN speaks up in the party.
"You are aware that melee LB3 is the more effective LB, right BRD?"
Uhm, okay. Yes, I am well aware. But we're at the headstone, and the boss is dead, and has been for a good few minutes now. I'm just like "Geez, calm down bruh" just trying to brush it off because it's really not that big of a deal (especially since one of the melee used the LB during Arachne Eve, when it was almost right at LB3, and she was still at like 11%...yet they want to talk about my LB usage, but I digress). A NIN speaks up and is being all salty, so I'm assuming they had tried to use it at the same time I had, but mine registered first.
So they're like bickering at me and I'm just like O.o to my friend who tells them to just drop it because the thing is dead, and we're now at Ozma. They proceed to bicker at him, and the NIN, if I remember, actually called him a "stupid dead tank" because he didn't notice the meteor marking under him (mistakes happen and no one died), and I'm getting mildly irritated at this point so I say "I'm well aware how LBs work, and which one is most effective. But he's dead so just calm the eff down already." Then I proceed to be called a child for "cursing at them" while they're being "civilized" and to just "whine some more" (hardly whining, and they were hardly civilized, but anyways).
Get out of there and look them up: same server, same FC. Kinda figured as much by their behavior, but geez. Was all that really necessary over one LB3? (I let the melee use the rest of them like a good little BRD; didn't care by that point since I had my LB3 for the evening. The NIN's SMN friend stood outside the arena for Calo, locked out.)
Quick thing from today's Weeping City run: my co-healer was constantly spamming Stone 2 without Cleric Stance. Don't ask me why.
90th raid finder run of Sophia. Queued for one last run before bed. Run goes smoothly, every one performing their roles perfectly. Three items drop from the chest and I'm slow to look at the loot, sure it's the bead and the song again. Sophic lanner whistle drops (4th bird I've seen from her) and I roll a 57. Say out loud "well, I'm not getting that."
When the bird drops into my inventory I'm too stunned to be happy. Omg. 90th run. T_T I've farmed her out! Thank you so much, Raid Finder!
As a Black Mage, I'm told religiously not to use LB, especially when there is a melee dps in party with me. I get singled out and fussed at by the tank for not using it on the boss when there was also a Monk in party with me at the time.
I can't win.
I normally let melee use the LB. I only really like to "steal" it when I'm on BRD and LB3 pops just because I love the animation for it. But if they just let it sit there, and the boss gets to 10% or less, I just go ahead and use it, especially if we're in 24-man since it's going to go away next boss. Why waste a perfectly good LB?
You know that feeling when you're told you're doing something wrong? And you want to fight the words you're reading/hearing, with everything in your body wanting to scream and go " But it's works so far for me THIS long." I had a moment like this today, I asked a fellow monk if I was doing things wrong and WHOO... I got hit hard. So instead of going with feelings I listened and wrote down what he said. I've been practicing the "correct" used of Dragon Kick and a good rotation and the results have been speaking for themselves. I thanked him after I saw him again today and showed him my results. I got alot of work to do before Ill be decent but I like to think I'm on the way. I know.. not really a dungeon story, but I wanted to share it cause yes.. I wanted to throw away the advice and keep doing things my way cause I'm human. But I'm glad I didn't cause dungeons are going alot faster for it and I don't feel like such a scrub anymore.
Guess who jumped to Ozma with Foe Requiem singing full blast today?
*sobs in a corner*
Do what I do. If the melee DPS don't use the LB on the second boss, then you are free to use it on trash mobs (can even use it before the second boss, if the tank does a massive pull). Can't be accused of wasting it, as you're technically saving time (and in most cases, the melee DPS never use it on the second boss).
Which now raises the question on why Stone II and not III.
Ehm..maybe they did a low level dungeon before, and moved Stone II to the regular "single target attack spell" slot where Stone III is on level 60 for ease of use? :x
And throughout the entire run did not notice that they had forgotten to move it back?
Just trying to find explanations..xD
Was doing Sophia extreme with some fc members when we noticed the monk we partied with in the raid finder was doing really poor damage and we hit enrage at one stage aside from the one wipe we had, we asked the monk what was wrong and he said it's "still new content" as an excuse for performing poorly, despite having cleared the content, mechanically he was doing fine so I couldn't understand what was going wrong with their damage.
We finally beat Sophia on the third attempt and lo and behold, the fists drop and the monk wins them.
Tl;Dr do bad, get drops.
Just wanted to get this off my chest.
Just got out of a very infuriating Xelp run. My net started deciding to lag me in the run, so I couldn't dodge mechanics at all. Pretty damn infuriating, because I was dying repeatly at 2nd boss. Apologized and told party I was lagging. No one responded, so I thought all was ok until we finished the dungeon and the tank snarked "monk you suck" and quickly left. In my defense, I didn't die once after completing the 2nd boss and I can understand if the party was frustrated but oh man.... telling others they suck because they lag? Don't they think we already don't feel guilty about it?
I agree it is not much of a big deal, but to be honest, your response escalates the situation more so than it does brush it off. A response like, "Yeah, I just love the BRD animation and it was about dead anyway xD" would have been better. "Geez, calm down bruh" is a bit condescending, and turns a simple question into a conflict.
97 roll on Sophic Lanner.
Someone rolled 98. I lost my mind.
Same thing happened to my boyfriend >< he rolled a 98 on the Nidhogg Dark Lanner and the BRD who was dead almost all of last phase rolled 99...of course.
I also lost Sophic Lanner roll twice even though I rolled high: once with a 93 got beat by a 99 then 94 and got beat by a 97. I got lucky and rolled 94 again on the next one I saw and finally won it but yeah tough on the nerves.
Ran Gubal normal today, had an i240 PLD that only used FoF and Sheltron for cooldowns. And when he did use Sheltron it was against magic enemies.
As a PLD main it infuriated me.
A6N... I'm healer... we get to final boss, other healer decided to go on a netflix and chill... So I'm stuck... solohealing, as an i226 AST. If the SMN that was ressing in that duty sees this, I owe you a drink! We had mechanics being failed left and right, but we somehow did it thanks to SMN's ressing, and me focusing on healing. I won none of the items (need 1 more head item to get my i220 headpiece for my PLD, I main healer now ya see), but I got 4 commendations out of it at least.
Doing roulette expert as scholar (ilvl 240) and was horrible. I hate big pull in Library HM >.< I had luck of keep tank with life (I used Dissipation 3x), and BLM died once.
I checked lodestone and tank was using gear between 160 and 230. Weapon 210.
In my defense, the way they were speaking to me was equally, if not more condescending. It was clear as the conversation progressed they thought they were very high and mighty (I guess because they had everything to 60? Or were from a popular server? Idk) and I was some stupid ranged DPS wasting LBs (since they said they were "concerned" I didn't "understand the functions and mechanics of LBs"), and their NIN friend didn't even try to be even semi-polite. I don't see the point in starting arguments, which is why I was like "calm down bruh" and even but an XD in there, and I even used that very same line in my explanation as to why I used the LB--almost word for word. There is really no reason to speak to someone as if they are the dirt below your shoes, which is what this person was doing. I know tone is difficult to decipher in text conversations, but I could hear their tone based on the language and wording they used in their responses to me. Especially since they didn't let it go until after the Ozmashade phase where as I had long since stopped responding to them.
I joined my first ls static some days ago thinking that farms/raid progression, or, maybe--potential new friends would be made....nope. I was wrong. Turns out the ls master was just throwing out invites to fill the group. I know, because he invited the worst...drg...ever. Every time we'd run sophia he'd fall off, get beamed, or forget to stack with a buddy. Oh...and our dps was always slacking! :3
Another reason is because the ls master has a close group of discord friends that he raids with all the time...never inviting anyone else. No one, out of the 62 people, wants to help with anything if you're not apart of that little group. well...unless they "need" you.
Now, I'm normally a nice person. Yes, i can get snippy on my bad days, but more than likely I'm pretty forgiving and laid back. But I really hate being lumped together, ignored (I actually asked for help with a pf recruit and NO ONE answered. Not until one of the head ls people wanted to do WT all night and people were throwing themselves at her..), and then used like a spare tire.
TL;DR a seriously crappy drg was invited to a heavily clique static group
I dropped out tonight /shrug. I was better off with my fc and rf xD
