It's just a ton easier to heal yourself during discord. You have complete control over when you take damage and can prepare accordingly, even waiting so you can heal others too. Honestly, if you can't deal with the mechanic properly, you probably should either work on being a better healer, or take up another role.

Ran Void Ark to test out my Nothung today. Everything going pretty well until we get to the second boss, though the "trash" fight in-between bosses was a little messy.
We get there and he ticks up to like 30 on the first bite. OK... he keeps ticking up, people keep getting theyself ate and not killing adds. It happens. I accept we're gonna wipe. It happens.
Immediately after, people are calling for Abandons. Really? Really? We're so impatient we can't accept one failure? C'mon. -

Was getting in my leveling roulette this morning as THM. Got tam tara deepcroft, cool, easy dungeon.
Sprout GLD tank, pretty normal. MNK is other dps, AST healer, around level 45 I think.

Tank has some trouble holding aggro, but this is pretty normal from my experience of the dungeon, I just keep quellin on cool down and try not to pull.
Well, a few pulls after first boss, tanks got 3 scorpion monsters on him, and suddenly his health hits zero. Healer says let him run back, I silently agree because he'll do better without the res debuff. Tank says nothing and doesn't res, so healer does.
Next boss healer stands in corner and doesn't do anything. No heals, no dps. Tank dies, MNK takes aggro and healer actually starts doing something.
After boss, healer throws out "tanks a moron". I counter with no, hes clearly new and used to tanking. We go back and forth, me defending sprout tank, him saying he knows enough to use flash and he could tank better.
The healer goes on to say that he's "too tired to care" and that "most healers are lazy so he doesn't care" and so I told him then he should leave so we can get a healer who does care. He doesn't say anything after that.
We finish the dungeon, and before I leave he says "I still don't care".
I don't care who you are or whether you think someone isnt new or not, you don't need to make their life hell. That tank did about as good as I expect a sprout tank to do.
When I died the first time in this game, I had no idea there was sickness for getting a ressurection. That doesn't make me, or anyone else who doesn't know that, a moron -
01-21-2016, 06:04 AMMalicewolfGlad you were in that dungeon to back up the sprout. It's always a shame when people forget that they were once new and had no clue what to do at one point too. First dungeon I failed at was copperbell at the slime boss. I just kept hacking away at it and killed the bomb whenever it showed up. One guy called me an idiot because I was level 23 when I entered it. Luckily, one of the other guys defended me. This was before I had a keyboard for my ps4 tooQuote:

So it's late, but I hadn't run any of my roulette's for the night yet. So I decide that I'll at least get my Ex Roulette done for the eso. Queue up as tank and immediately get in. It's Arboretum. We get in, all say our hi's, then stoneskins and protect up, we start. I go to pull the first mob and establish aggro when I suddenly notice in the chat, someone asked me to pull bigger. Eh, sure, why not. I usually take the 1st mob as a tester to see how a party will cope, but seeing the chat, i decided why not. I pull all i can. And give off some flash's/CoS to grab aggro. Suddenly, everything was blue and flashing lights were everywhere. The mob is gone in seconds. Melted faster than butter. I stop for a sec to see what kind of party I have. There's me (PLD), SCH, SUM, SUM. Wait, what?! I thought to myself, hot damn! No wonder they asked for big pulls, we got a party full of summoners. Both had Garuda out of course. So I continue on doing my tank thing. My god. This group was amazing. 1st boss went down before it got his second rotation of Extremely Bad Breath done. We move on to the next batch. Of course, now i'm not hesitant about the big pulls. We burn the 1st two mobs quick (and only reason i stopped there was to grab the coffer as I saw they were just skipping past them. Not that I needed them either, but I like the seals :3).
Next up, bee's. Those damn bee's that every once in a while final sting my butt to death during big pulls. I decide to go for it anyways. I wasn't disappointed. Honeycombs go down quickly and we're at boss #2. For like, a minute. We kill before he can do a 2nd ally (that move where the bee's line up). At this point, I'm just. I dunno. Amazed at how amazing this party is. So I tell them. Basically, I'm going to complain to every party that's not full of SUM's now :3. We all get a good laugh and continue our murder fest. Belladonna didn't even see us coming (nor did we look into her horribly seductive eyes). Great way to end the night. If any of them see this post, I love you all. So much. -

So, running VA, looking for the mythical healer's belt. I'm sure it exists. Maybe. Possibly. In another game.
Only one bard, and they're using Foe at every chance, constantly MP-less, acknowledges when I provide 'em The Ewer. Not dying, not standing in shit. Breaks me out of the Sawtooth Spitchain right away.
But the amazing part is that I actually saw Warden's Paean in use.
Told my sister (who was also healing) and my brother (who was tanking), and that bard got more than one commendation.

Lvling my drg in the vault, get a WAR in ilvl120 ironworks gear, that looked really bad to me but who knows the guy might be good. Going to the first boss was fine because for the most part you cannot do big pulls. So after the 1st boss the tank runs for big pulls and of course wipe, no one seems piss so we try again but pull smaller at least which is good. I already had an omen the last boss will be a pain because the tanks hp is so low, like my own hp was like 2k from his and he was already in defiance. Getting to the last boss was rather painful to watch, if I was the healer I would have just said screw this and left the WAR hp just kept dipping so fast. Last boss of course we wipe like times, couple with keeping the tank alive with those heavy hits and aoe heals I won't blame the healer at all. We beat it but the dps and tank gang on the healer saying, "git good". At that point I was piss at those two, like how is it ok for a tank to go into a lvl 57 dungeon with lvl 50 and blame the healer because you couldn't take the time to gear up a little. The WAR was not new I saw he already have other lvl 60 jobs. So I thank the healer and gave the guy my comm.
