Got kicked from a duty because, and I quote, "stupid war your no fun to heal gtfo l2p a real job." Yes, written and spelled exactly like that, minus the period.

Just one of those moments where you should be going to bed but instead decide to queue for a roulette. Queued up as AST for 50/60/70/80 and got Ghimlyt Dark and I died twice to dumb mistakes, but the group seemed chill with it. I really hate making mistakes and I am way too hard on myself, so hopefully lesson learned for me.
AR Roulette: Tower at Paradigm’s Breach, as WHM. This is from two or three days ago.
No new folks, but alliance B might as well not exist at all. In every boss fight there are at least 6 of them staying dead, including their healers. What’s even more surprising was, nobody ever said anything like “B healers down.” in alliance chats.
Starting from Red Girl and onward, I noticed their tank always loses about 80% of their health bar after every tankbuster. Finally something worthwhile to use my lilies at least? If they even live, that is.. because like the rest of their group, their tank also died so often that their targeted tankbuster tend to get redirected to one of their remaining DPSes who also ran around in panic and get the other folks killed as well.
My group was doing pretty well on the other hand. Needing not much maintenance. Despite the chaos from another group & the mild fun it instilled on me, the run wasn’t as hectic as I expected it to be… but it sure lasts so long.. almost an hour.
Which made me realized something even worse: I finished that roulette about less than a minute after the daily reset. RIP me.
Why is it always the icky gooey circle of hell that is Aurum Vale? Leveling roulette needs to stop doing me dirty. XD
Here's our cast of characters:
ME: leveling RDM (slowly but surely, currently stuck in HoH purgatory lol)
MNK: has a couple 90s, seems to be a healer main, good overall
AST: highest job is level 60-something but pretty good
and our star of the show, PLD: uncomboed Rage of Halone enthusiast, enmity denier, and limit break fiend
I should've known it was going to be an interesting run when Mr. PLD ran straight into the middle of the first room and then didn't hold the attention of literally any of the mobs. AST earned his paycheck keeping me and MNK alive, and I unironically wished I had Vercure at 47.
I really should've known at Locksmith, where our dear tank accumulated 4 whole stacks of Gold Lung and didn't cleanse before the next pull . Or maybe when I died to some diremites while standing literally on top of the PLD because he wouldn't do an aoe to get them off me. But somehow it didn't truly hit me how much of a shitshow this run was until the final boss, when he popped a tank lb2 at 20% remaining (while dragging Mistress through every puddle he could find, much to MNK's dismay).
At the end AST sent the most defeated "tank, my guy, plz ;-;" I've ever seen, which gave me a giggle.
The best part of all of this?
It wasn't PLD's first time in AV (I try to be extra patient with sprouts; I was in their shoes once upon a time). In fact, PLD was level 77. His title? "The Legend," of course.
If I didn't find it so funny, I'd probably cry a little. :D
Was helping a friend with unlocking sidestuff from SB and ShB (Omega, Eden, Weapons) today. Got to finally MT again, but the cost was funny.
So many tanks just died after grabbing the boss. Not due to the lack of healing, but cuz they all collected vulns like it was candy. Oh well. More fun for me, I guess.
Decided to try and get back into EX/Savages after taking a long hiatus from them due to lack of time to commit. Figured I'd do some PFs to sorta get the lay of the land again since finding a static and winning the lottery have similar odds at this point. Found one listed as practice beginning with phase 1. Join. Observe as a succession of people expecting an instant clear join the party, note that its participants haven't cleared yet, spew some vitriol, then leave. One of them was actually mad enough over a healer getting nicked by a mechanic to start throwing out words that are uh... well, let's just say a lot of TOS violations happened all at once.
Clearly reading comprehension is no longer a valued skill.
Getting a lot of tanks in trials and raids who will wait until I put my stance on and pull, then suddenly decide that they wanna be the star and start fighting for aggro. Like, dude, I waited to see if you wanted it, I even ask most of the time, you could just take it instead of trying to play big boy. Or at least don't yank the boss back halfway across the arena in the process. Especially when I just dropped Salted Earth under it.
