Sell Fantasia on the Mogstation

Bumping this for justice. Sick of logging in to see my Booblander now, need my kitty looks back!

It's a bit sad, topics concerning various tidbit QoL issues like how teleporting will be easier because people can't be bothered to memorize places or don't know how to use the map (personally I think that's quite stupid if you don't want to memorize places by name, but whatever) are constantly receiving rep communication but with something like when we will have the ability to pay for race changes (i'll highlight "pay" - pay = money for SE) we get a very on-the-side response of something they *want* to look into.

Either way, fingers crossed for implementation sooner rather than later...or at least another rep response on progress of how they're planning to implement it.

It's good to see that I'm not the only one hoping that this is added sooner rather than later. While I do still like my character, I find myself regretting the gender swap and would like the opportunity to change back.

Also, it would be nice to have the Fantasia available by the time the new hairstyles are added with the barbershop in 2.1! While of course I don't choose a race based solely on hairstyle, it is definitely a deciding factor when I'm narrowing down my choices. Surely I'm not the only one that might have chosen a different race if only they had better hair. ;)

I know one thing i would like to see along with the fantasia. A name change going with it, because for those off us who wanna go from female to male or vice versa a male name would not look right on a female character nor the other way around. Name change also please..

We aren't really asking for a cash shop so much as we are asking for a service. Get your mind out if the gutter. F2p games are bad, we dont want f2p, just a simple service.

They already stated in this thread that name change was also something they were looking into =)

Why would u want to pay so much for a simple character remake?

I would be ok if instead of cash shop items if they made it into a daily quest reward, a quest that is completely useless for anyone except for the people that wanna remake there character.

Although me personally idk why ppl don't like the way there characters look i mean, instead of remaking your character every 24 hours like someone suggested they want to do why not just take 10 minutes to actually design your character like you want?

Since the game is designed to be able to do everything on one character some people (like myself) get bored with the same look forever. Really have no other reason than that. So to be able to drop 10-20 bucks whenever I feel like a change is no big deal to me.

I (stupidly) used my potion to change my hair/face. Kinda wanna change race now as I'm sick of the way armour looks on my Lalafell.

Having Fantasia potions on the mog-station is a service, just like the server transfer. I think most of the in-game population would love this as it's purely vanity/personal preference and not a "Pay-2-win" feature.

I'm glad people are still bumping this :) It's a good indication that people want this ASAP.

I pretty much asked if I could please please have my potion back.
After being ignored for a week, I asked again and begged once more. He tells me that it's not a guarantee and I asked that "Since this is day 8 of the message does this add on to the policy days count?" He said as long as it's been a week of the message I sent it can still be looked into....
I dunno, I been a Lalafell for over 10 days, and that's for sure.
They told me they went ahead and escalated me post and I logged today. [Haven't been on a few days and I dunno what date the mail said.]
And lo and behold, the potion.

Edit: I'ma give the run down on post dates.
- Asked for potion - 10-23
- Response - 10-20
- Asked again - 10-30
- Response - 10-31
- Asked about the Policy since it took forever to post with 10 day thing. - 10-31
- Response - in which he says: As long as you placed the report within a week of losing your item, we can investigate. - 11-1
- The Moogle mail was here yesterday. I saw mail and didn't get to it. 11-2.

I agree on this. But the day SE sells other things on the Mogstation besides this and world transfer, I'll be really upset. I can see this leading to many horrible outcomes.

I think an option like this should have been build into the game. I really don't understand why an appearance change is such a big deal. We paid for the game so I think it's only fair that we play characters that we enjoy playing. Twenty dollars or anything close to that price is ridiculous. As one poster stated why would I pay $20 for an appearance change when the game itself is 30 to 40 dollars depending on what platform you play on.

For this to be a fantasy game it feels really restrictive. We can't wear the clothes we like, we can't dye the clothes we're forced to wear and we can't change our appearance at will. I think it's time to step it up a notch SE.

I don't know about demanding we should be able to change appearance whenever we want, but I think there's no harm in allowing us more chances for it as long as we share the expense. Please keep in mind before making post demanding "justice" or some other ridiculousness that setting up a new acquisition system for millions of players will probably cost them a lot of money.

I still want it though; the sooner the better.

I really hope this comes out soon. I went from being a tiny char to the biggest and what hit me right away was how slow the movement felt now because of my new view point. I used to feel like I was running now the game feels like I'm lazily strolling around hehe

I tried the 10 day retrieval, past 11 days and had no luck. :(

First they messed up the support emails and I had a positive response, after confirming it was a mistake, it was basically "10 days plus" or "We can't find it so can't restore" but with quick replies and good support.

Just wanted to put my name down for being in 100% support of this idea. This is a simple implementation that will greatly impact QoL as well as add a cash flow boost to Square. There is only a win/win here. Square needs to at least keep up with standard MMO features. The longer people are upset about their character's appearance, the less attached they will be to them, the less likely they are to stay with FF14. I love this game, hate my look, noticed I log in less and less now. I put in for an item resto, but I haven't heard back. It's been over 10 days so I am sure it's not going to be restored.

They could make it a veteran reward say...every 3 months? that way not paying cash, but not making people who have ADD change it every freaking week.

I think they know we want it. Maybe we can turn this to a more productive direction. I don't think they'll ad a veteran reward trade because that opens up hassles. Maybe they'll just allow a delay of your veteran rewards.
