There has recently been a request by the community manager to continue giving player feedback on classes. What is the most useful format for players to offer feedback on their classes to the Dev team and would you go over how you use this feedback in the decision process of class changes and balances.
Could you please increase the drop rate for mounts and minions from dungeons and trials added in patch 4.0?
Think people actually want to see more of a fantasy game Can we move away from being to realistic? Interdimensional space and glowing gear really makes people more interested. Would love to see more interesting stuff in much more quantity. Also could we have Samurai and Red Mage Makai gear. The titles makai were kind of a disappointment too since there were a lot more characters in the series and only made the few classes feel more special.
Any chance in making the Armorie Chest actually useful. I know all we can currently store is AF1 for the begining classes, some Seasonal items, and Mogstation Items. Any chance in making it so we can store older pieces of gear like if we wanted to use it for Glamour? I mean I know the gear is outdated by I really did not enjoy having to sell my gear to make room for new gear. For example the Bard af2 and the Bard gear from Crystal tower. I like the look of them but don't have the room. Otherwise could you give us Mannequins to store gear on?
Is there any plan in the 4.0 series to look at overmelding again? It currently feels way too punitive for even the first overmeld when you are looking at grade IV and higher materia.
Would it be possible to get Relic Tools for our DoL/DoH classes, whilst the DoW/DoM get them I think it should be expanded to all Classes this would be something I would do in a heartbeat as I main Botanist and Miner XD
Do you think of adding more ward and plots to the housing area? since many players will would love a chance to own a house.
Please add some restrictions on housing! There are no reasons why someone needs 5-20 plots, players only need a house for themselves and their FC and maybe one more. People are still finding ways to monopolize on housing even though it's against ToS. There are multiple houses on Malboro which are owned and occupied by only one level 1 character and basically abandoned. Are there any plans to add restrictions?
Reposting my questions for Art Director Minagawa here, since I am unsure if they're appropriate for him to answer. Is there any chance of simplistic Hingan outfits being released in-game in future patches? Simplistic in comparison to the somewhat ornate gear sets that we seem to get all the time. It would be nice to receive gear that NPCs wear. For instance, we can recreate the Brass Blade outfit, so it would be nice if a future dungeon or NPC would give the Sekiseigumi outfit. I was rather disappointed at launch by the relative lack of fitting Hingan outfits, considering that Kugane is a whole city rather than a simple end game hub like Rhalgr's Reach.
To continue on my tangent, will we see any Sengoku or Edo era armors or outfits in future content? While the Heian era inspired Genji armor available from Deltascape Omega looked acceptable for the most part, I personally felt that the kusazuri, I believe the term is, of most if not all the attires more or less detracted from the in-game models, in addition to the Striking gear seeming to be a poor fit for the Samurai class. This on top of the Aiming headpiece blocking off one of the character's eyes for some reason.
Additionally, I apologise if this question has been answered before, I have a feeling it's often asked whenever these live letters occur, but are there any plans to make the current glamour system less restrictive? There are often pieces from other classes that appear to go well with other pieces from different classes, yet it is impossible to use them in conjunction due to class restrictions. An example being the Arhat Sandogasa of Casting/Aiming, which I feel would go well with the Samurai Job's aesthetic.
There was a article about two players on small server that owned 28 houses together. This takes away the chance that others may own a house. They are able to buy this many thanks to no restrictions (like one FC house and one player house per Server no matter how many alts you have). If housing stays such a limited feature, do you plan for any restriction in the future so that people cant own so many houses?
How many Khloe-themed stuff do you plan on releasing in 4.xx?

I wanted to ask if SE / FF14 will ever implement a way for players to buy gil from the mogstation.
I used to make gil by selling Coils to lower levels who had just unlocked them (I did ok this with the GM's) However now that the boosts have come out - I am practically not needed. And I only really ever concentrated on Raids.
So again I wanted to ask if SE / FF14 will ever implement a way for players to buy gil from the mogstation. Now Blizzard who made World of Warcraft has done this and they reported over a 20% increase in profits when this was first released. Blizzard released the game time token which could be sold over the auction house. However Blizzard did not prepare themselves for what happened - lots of people were buying this item and basically making it worthless in game for a long time. So I would ask you to not follow their example but make it so that we can buy Gil from the mogstation and not an item which we have to sell in game.
I dont agree with the buying of gil directly but I could get behind an game time item that you can buy on the mogstation that you could gift, sell, trade, ect. For instance I have a friend that plays and I pay for his sub. Would be nice to not have to have him log into the mog station and go over that whole ordeal since I dont want it on recurring. This would make it so much easier to help him with that.
I know of a few games that do this and it seems to work out very well for them. Takes potential profit from gil sellers, while providing a method to potentially make some gil while benefiting SE as well as the possibility to help out friends or FC mates who may be having a hard time or need a bit of help. Really every game should do this thats on a P2P system. There's just this stigma against buying things with real money equating to online resources. Again I dont support the buying of gil/gold/ect directly, however under certain situations, when benefiting the parent company of whatever thing you are buying resources for if it has a tangible reason to exist (such as a in game token for play time) it can work and in other games it seems to work very well.
As far as the in game time token value, that would be community based and would have highs and lows. If its too low people wont buy them and the market will go up, market goes up and people buy more leading to a lower price, and repeat. Something like this would probably stabilize overtime within a decent margin though, since it is something you pay actual money for people might not be as undercut happy and even if they are just buy them and wait for the market to go up or save yourself the real currency. Outside I would imagine it being the same price of either a half month or full months of playtime considering the game time allowed by the token.
Crafting question:
Are there any plans to make it so that when crafting stuff, you can use raw resources your retainers have as well? If restrictions needed, then maybe make it work while close to crafting stations and summoning bells?
(But please - make the radius large enough that groups of crafters do not feel forced to hog the summoning bells in the cities.)
Tank Balancing and adjustments:
Are there any plans to adjust the balance between the three tanks?
-PLD has the highest damage output with the simplest rotation, while bringing party utility and nice mitigation cooldowns.
-DRK has a lower damage output compared to PLD but the easy rotation and the party utility gives a reason to bring him along.
-WAR on the other hand has a lower damage output than PLD (similar to the DRK) but has no utility for the party, a more complex rotation, a too much punishing gauge mechanic and many skils are almost never used (e.g. Unchained or Shake it Off)
Are there any plans to expand Armoire Chest so more Glamour Clothing options may be held within?
In line with this - I feel like it's really inefficient for a healer to have to cross skill a disspell. That cross skill slot could easily be free'd up for something that makes more sense to be shared. Basic healers know to do 2 things, Heal people and remove harmful effects. It does not make sense to have one of those things be optional.
The Dataqi Chronicles fate chain usually falls apart around the first or second pause. Would you remove the pauses and just make the fate less common to balance it out?
WoW Reported a 20% increase in profits.
This is why i have issues against this - When the WoW Token first came out Blizz expected it to be selling in game at about 500K gold and above - It has yet to ever reached that gold value, and in fact when it first came out so many people bought it that it was reported to only be worth about 30K gold - if we were only able to buy gil from SE I feel this would be better as then our received gil does not fluctuate depending on the market. For Example the Eastern Cherry Tree - we could buy it now and go to sell it in game and it be so cheap it wasn't worth buying it - at the moment on my server they sell for 15mil - but add about 100 and they will be at the most 1 or 2 mil.

My question: Is there a way to take another look at the entry restrictions for PotD 101+? If you are a solo player and have a DC you are kicked out from the instance and lose all the progress at the same time since it counts as death? So is there any way that maybe you limit the death to like 3 times or let us relogg into PotD instances when we are kicked? With the servers being so unstable its nearly impossible to do this solo!
WHM has been stated multiple times to be Pure Healer.
Yet most WHMs don't necessarily feel stronger as a healer compared to AST.
What exactly is your view on what a pure healer is, and it's strengths?
Is there any chance of an increase in the number of free retainers in the 4.0 cycle? Those of us that craft and like glamour have serious space issues currently and not all of us can afford to keep renting extra retainers.
Since we can now swim and dive with the implementation of 4.0. Would it be possible to make the throw emote do a splash animation or a splash emote when used in the water while swimming/diving?
Hello, as you are aware there is a very high demand for housing but very limited supply and there are many things gated behind housing (workshop, cross-breed gardening, exploration missions, aetherial wheel actions) that players and Free Companies cannot utilize because you need a house for all that content. For FC's, lack of housing hurts recruitment as they lack amenities like Grade 3 buffs or the FC workshop. For individuals, not being able to cross-breed crops puts them at the mercy of the market vs. being able to grow items themselves and be self-sufficient or being able to earn gil for themselves.
Will we only be gaining 720 housing plots (72 Large, 168 Medium and 480 Small) per server for the entire 4.X series? Also will there be limitations put on individual accounts that own multiple houses spread across their characters?
You've mentioned before the expansion landed that there may be a second increase in inventory limit for players. Are there still plans for that second additional inventory increase?
Hello again, in previous interviews it was stated that we will be able to go into dungeons with our GC Squadron in 4.1. Will this provide the ability to gain experience points to level alternate jobs as how PvP or Palace of the Dead currently provide alternative routes to gain EXP? 30+ minute que times to wait and enter a single dungeon is not a great use of limited time and it would be great if our GC Squad can serve more of a purpose than just another form of retainer venture.

While Warriors skillsets changes if you go into defiance or deliverance, why didnt you do the same thing with blood Price and Blodo Weapon for Dark Knights? This would have saved one slot in the hotbar by just doing this.

Hello, sorry last question. With LV. 70 characters running around with much higher damage output than the zones were intended for, many ARR and HW hunts die within seconds of appearing and make earning Allied Seals for riding manuals very difficult to obtain. Can you please either lower the cost of riding manuals or allow us to purchase these manuals using Grand Company Seals or Gil?

With the release of SB the ability of scholar lv70 and below, whether as a healer, or as an attacker, is so underwhelming compared to whm & ast. Little new utilities were added in any meaningful way and so many real useful aoe skills (like miasma2 aoe or the ability to keep constant aoe damage with Shadow Flare were taken away and replaced with very limited abilities that rely on the limited 3 stacks of aetherflow). In any dungeon scenario if a party member dies then scholar has a serious issue maintaining mp after that if aetheflow stacks are not forced to spent on Energy Drain. In short, what I'm saying is that it's a horrible idea to have so many of the scholar abilities to be depended on those aetherflow stacks which have a rather long cd and thus render scholar less useful than whm or ast in certain emergency scenario that require burst healing. Do you have any real intention to address this issue? or just go with the typical Yoshi P's saying "get gid gud" or "wait and see"?
What concepts and themes were considered when designing the new Far Eastern areas in Othard and Hingashi?
Do you ever intend to add more character presets in the character creation? Currently FFXIV has 4 face presets for all races and the same face paint options since ARR. Does the dev team ever intend to expand those options?

Before 2.1 and 2.3, you promised us that you would separate Free Company housing with Personal Housing. But instead, you've made it worse and said you made an excuse saying it wouldn't help the community. Now today, the housing system is not improving but getting worse. Is it possible that you can allow Free Companies to purchase their own wards with a high amount of gil so that max of 512+ plots and 512+ apartments can purchase the plots inside the ward(s)? By doing that, can you allow them to upgrade their interior sizes/furnishing slots and exterior sizes too? - For these plots reduce the prices of the FC Wards. Move out FC houses out of the current wards with full refund and give them the chance to purchase the FC ward instead - having FC main house in the center of Ward map in primary plot section.
As for current housing wards, make them all personal instead. But increase their wards up to 100~200+ to make sure that even one player who owns 8 alts could purchase it if they want to, so that people won't have to complain ever about plots being short or limited. Every time whenever Wards are being full in any server or even sizes are full, the server should recognize it and build a new ward automatically. Whether if it is large/medium. Not everyone is willing to stay small forever.
When player relinquish the land, please give 80-90% portion of the land as resale. To prevent the people from over price selling the land and to avoid violation of Term of Service.
Lastly, if people who are personal wishes to join in FC ward that are not FC members and purchase in the plot - perhaps they can get special permission to build housing in there. Now should these people who are in FC ward wish to leave FC or had special access wishes to move out, they'd be moving to personal ward where it's strictly for non-FC players only to purchase in these wards. They can transfer for free and grab the plots that are available within those 50-200 wards, whether it'd be small,medium or large.
