Transfers are up!

ive been waiting to transfer from excaliber to valefor for a month but SE is only letting legacy players switch between legacy servers.

Wow you are late to the party on this one. This was stated before launch and multiple times since then and the anouncment of transfers. Sorry may gotta wait a few more months.

Are you going to extend free transfers since problems today and possibly more in future?

I'm having this with Moogle. And, yes, I am a bit pissed about it.

what if my server for the second time gets full. but again, like the first time, it wasnt my fault?

my thing xfer service has been down all day and I ll be upset if the server I want to go to gets full....

Waiting for 7hs. Wonder if its Because i pick a server and he gets full like 1h after i applied to transfer. Anyone else with more than 7hs or waiting for a transfer for a server that became full after you transfer?

Trying to get on Behemoth, has anyone had it show up on their list? Dunno if I should be staying up really late to see if it becomes available, or just stay constantly refreshing. I would if it becomes available, but don't wanna waste my time doing that if they don't plan on opening it up at all.

I'm in the same boat as most of you! Been waiting since before release to join my friends on excalibur (which I couldn't join in the first place because pre-order issues/SE character creation limitations) and can't because its probably full.

Trying the same for Cactuar, I have like 44 servers on my list but never got it to appear even once :/ According to the Lodestone that updated just now , It should not be full (Tested and tried to make a character).

Just checked and behemoth doesn't show up on my list of servers.

Yeah, apparently the transfer list doesn't go off of the character creation list, which makes no sense. I have a character on Behemoth too right now, sucks that I can't just transfer there even though I could make a character there.

Great, taunt us legacy players to create new characters on the NA legacy servers with the new list showing character creation availability. Yet we still can't transfer to them.

I can't transfer too. So, I create new character in Tonberry. :(

So I waited until 2AM to see if character creation had opened on Hyperion so i could try and transfer. They open up creation but not transfer, I don't understand.

SE, please follow your own transfer guidelines!

So funny I been trying to get on hyperion all effin day, I DID IT!!! But i had to make a new character to do it.. I Hate You SO Much SE... I dont have the words to describe my hate for your horrible company!!!

I just wish they'd open up Moogle so I can transfer BEFORE IT EFFING COSTS MONEY.

anyone can check for me as i have long list but no cactuar

Tried transferring to Moogle all yesterday without getting anywhere except getting errors all night long. Now it seems the world is closed even though it is still possible to create characters there. What can I do? All my friends managed to transfer because they were lucky and didn't get all the errors I did.

When I go to the Mog Station site, two things happen:

A. I can't even find the world listed that I want to transfer to (Excalibur). I have to transfer to Legacy since I'm currently on Legacy, yet I can't find Hyperion in the list of available worlds either. I already created a new character on Excalibur, so I know it's free.

B. On the second drop down menu, it asks what world to transfer from and my only option is '--------------' :/

I've tried refreshing the page a few times, but no dice. Great... I can't find the world I want to transfer to and I can't even get my character recognized either, despite meeting the requirements. This thread title is a lie X3

Moogle hasn't been showing up for me all day yesterday and today so far. So consider your friends lucky to have Moogle even show up on their list..

EDIT:

I think it's just pretty darn TERRIBLE when you can create a NEW character on a server, but not transfer one over. Especially because the world is "full" according to SE, even though it is not as evident by creating a NEW character.

I've got a level 50 character here I'm wanting to transfer and it's making it seem like he doesn't even exist, not even giving me an option to select the world. All I can select is ----------------, so yeah... Basically nothing at all ><

just made new char in cactuar so its not full

but doesnt appear in my damn list

The second option will only have something on it after you pick a world in the first one,
Tested picking a random world then, my current world appeared along with my character on the 2nd drop down box~
I've been refreshing since yesterday and I still cant get cactuar to appear until now, I know It's one of the populated servers but the lodestone and the game itself says Character's can be created on it >_>

Does any of you have Cactuar on your list right now? No Moogle as well on mine sadly.

The "From" server dropdown box will only populate after you've chosen and confirmed a destination server. So for example, choose one that is available and confirm, and your home server should then show up. This won't transfer you or anything since you have to click confirm on both -- just exit out of that menu after you've run the test to see if the app is actually finding your character.

I can create a NEW character on the server I want to transfer to, but mogstation wont let me transfer a preexisting character to that server, really SE? -_-
I'd rather pay SE $100 to transfer my character ive put alot of work into than reroll from scratch.

Some friends already transferred but some got left behind because of the lockout, why you so bad SE

Actually, I already tried this. My world still doesn't show up on the second menu, even after picking a random world on the first menu. I don't even...

EDIT: Okay, I just refreshed it like five times and I FINALLY got the box to pop up. Too bad I still can't find Excalibur on the list despite creating a new character there... Nice trolling, SE :|

I'm getting the same issue.

Well... I'm giving up :( why can we create new chars in Excalibur but cant transfer?

Edit: managed to transfer my bf's char to Excalibur about 10 minutes ago. Thank you all for the support :)

The key is: refresh AND retry AND monitor this thread for tips!

I just wake up hoping the problem fix, but still until now wtf

Because SE hates already existing characters and want you to spend more time (which translates to: spending more $$$ on the game) with the game via creating a new one to farm EVERYTHING again. j/k

It looks like all of the servers on the "crowded" list on the transfer guidelines are locked to transfers, despite being open for new character creation.

Character creation is currently open on Excalibur (verified by logging into the game and using the Character Creation tool up until where you can choose the server - Excalibur is definitely an option). Therefore by SE's own rules, transfers should also be possible at this time but it's not showing up in the list of available destinations.

If SE has decided to close a world or two to transfers it would be nice if they could let us know. I spent the better part of the day yesterday refreshing the transfer page periodically and I'd like to know if I should just give up the whole thing or if this is somehow a bug in the app.

Can someone comment on this? We know from experience that SE sometimes changes things without letting anyone know (which is their right), but it would be a great courtesy for us who are trying to go to servers that are magically missing from the list to know if we're wasting time.

They are, however there's many people who early in the xfer stage have successfully xfered onto said "Crowded" Servers, so we know that they were open, but are just arbitrarily locked at the moment. It's not like they haven't allowed xfers onto them at all since they started, which to me would be a completely different issue. The Transfers started out being tied to the Character creation block list, then after 11pm, when the list was updated showing a lot of them dropping off and allowing character creation, Transfers still weren't allowed. I'm hoping 4am's update changes that... maybe.

It's entirely possible they changed how they lock destination servers after things started rolling. Perhaps they saw the trend of tons of people moving onto already-crowded servers and locked them in hopes of not having those servers be totally overloaded; just because some managed to transfer onto them doesn't mean now or the future the same will be true, unfortunately.
