Speech Bubbles - Thoughts?

Don't be such haters people. YOU CAN TURN IT OFF. Why you keep telling people to go away if they don't like it? You know there are not so many left...

Actually, I have. I enjoyed the game very much so. I see your point, but a game deciding on the what text to show me is different then it popping everywhere from random people talking. Doesn't matter if you can turn them on or off, the chatlog still works the best.

Chat bubble menu:

Tell Chat Bubble: ON/OFF
Say Chat Bubbe: ON/OFF
Linkshell Chat Bubble: ON/OFF
Party Chat Bubble: ON/OFF
Shout Chat bubble: ON/OFF


Problem fixed. RP'rs are happy, new players are happy... You are happy... I am happy... No spam, no lag no screen clutter. Why do you got to hate a feature you never have to see. It will be there for those who want it, and there are plenty of those.

I suppose that wouldn't be unreasonable. Probably other things SE should fix first, but yeah.

but honestly, if the wards got visible prices, get enough people talking about bubbles for enough time, and we'll get them. just need to prevail.

Do you guys not notice that the moderator has already said that devs shot down this idea? why is this conversation still going on when we can be talking about something else?

That's what I said. In a different way.

The simple underlying point isn't whether or not you can turn them off. The ability to turn them on or off does not elevate chat bubbles to the level of worthwhile endeavour. The dev teams are already buried up to their eyeballs in projects to deal with. So many projects in fact that you still can't do something as fundamental as removing someone from your LS without them standing right in front of you. One need only look at the sorry state of LS management functions available to see that there are important pressing things that remain untouched, never mind ridiculous fringe things.

If two years from now when this game is rounded a small group of radicals known as the Chat Bubblists are still rattling their sabers about the horrible existence they suffer not having chat bubbles then SE can go ahead and implement them with a toggle and I'll toggle that garbage off and leave it off where it belongs and the chat bubblists can RP as people talking to each other with chat bubbles or whatever the hell chat bubble people do. But now is not the time to be icing a cake that's not even fully cooled or baked for that matter.
