The MMO communities do typically judge based on first encounters. From what I've seen they are even less forgiving as if this person is static in their actions. They set it in stone (this is part of why i've lost faith in MMO communities maturing as a whole).

Impressions are the starting point for being judged. In this fast-paced world if someone can't control their actions and acts like a douche to others' then they had it coming. Players don't want to be the outlet for negativity, they just want to have fun.

ya never understood why people even continue to argue about this. If you don't want to use the function which seems like 90% of you then don't use it and let the other 10% of the people that want to use it, use it.

I vote yes, but I hope they bring in some good tools, allowing players to rate those they play with, allowing them to party up again with those players, and perhaps even communicate with those players as well.

If done right, it could have some real positive options. :)

I haven't voted at all, but I do think a rating system would help a lot. I also think that it should be more beneficial to find a party within your server, like it's more beneficial to be in a party than solo.

I am 100% okay with these features being added as long as they only exist as an option. As long as I can still group up with my LS and complete the same content then I have absolutely no problem with it.

You have over 2,000 posts... it's impossible not to be in the same thread as you. In addition, I don't twist anything... you do. And that's what I was pointing out. As I stated before... if you don't agree with someone, all you do is take one of their statements out of context, find some convoluted way of bringing up a horrible experience in FFXI or WoW, and then try and make a connection between the two that doesn't exist. And when people try to explain to you how you're going off-topic or just taking things out of context, then you "play the victim" and accuse them of being rude, being ignorant, or you just insult them.

Sorry sweetheart... this is your pattern. I'd really just like to expose you for the troll you are (since I don't think that anyone could be doing all that by mistake). Though I think that's starting to become apparent to most.

As for the topic: As I've stated before, I agree with NO cross-server instances. Accountability is completely lost and the system is abused horrifically. All you have to do is look at DCUO and their auto-grouping feature for instances (it would be even worse if it was cross-server).

The problem is they are trying to make this game more accessible and playable by all yet everytime they mention something new that will help this game become more popular everyone cries about it. It won't diminish any part of the game in its current and very lacking state. People are afraid it will be a WoW clone and that is literally impossible because the game is not even 1% like WoW and even with certain features added it would still be nothing like that game or any other.

Why won't it diminish the community? First of all I ask what community? Everyone plays in one LS for the most part of their time online and occasionally will group up with random people to do leves and talk with people in town. That isn't much of a community if you ask me. It won't take away from your LS comradely at all, so tell me how it would negatively effect FFXIV.

2) gives oportunity for ninja's.
They just have to make a better looting system that makes this not possible or easy.

3) player conduct.
Elitism is the problem and it is the players faults. It doesn't make people act this way because they are just being themselves. I see it everyday on my server and on these forums and this is not the cause of the problem.

4) It has been tried.
Tried by me and I am 100% for the system. For the most part the Final Fantasy community in general is different than most players of other MMOs. The people playing FFXIV currently are the die hard fans for the most part and the new players will also be likely more die hard FF fans. So with that in mind and with Yoshida behind working on the system I bet you that it will be an improved upon feature than will be better than the other renditions in other MMOs.

So before you knock it and flame it why don't you give our new director a chance to implement it, looting features, and other things that go along with this a chance?(one which I have a lot of faith in to revive this game to its proper glory)

Cross server instanced ques are the worst idea to hit MMORPGS, the point of these games is to inspire community and building friendships, not a sit in city, que for group, ninja loot system.

When you add an in menu option to que for pvp or instances there is no reason to go out in the world which causes a high population of AFK city squatters. Not to mention a high amount of ninja looting due to the fact that no one can be held accountable for doing it. All Japanese MMO's i have played have addressed this issue and have attempted to keep que cross server instances out.

I understand your point to some extent but what you say is not a problem and it does not demote community and building friendships in the least. As I have said in other posts anyone in a decent size and active LS will not use this system much if at all, but having the option to use this kind of system is never a bad thing. Then you have players who want to play an MMO but may not have as much time to play and other players from other regions who may be for the system.

Ninja loot system? Are you daft? They haven't even added a loot system to game yet for the dungeons that themselves have yet to be implemented. Give them a chance to create a system that will work and a loot sytem that will go with it. Tired of people shooting down ideas by the DEV team who is trying to make this game succeed. Given them a chance to design some ideas and shoot them at us before you say , " Do not implement this system no matter what", that is pure ignorance.

Also you don't have to be in town to use the queue system you can be out gathering, or crafting or doing whatever you want to do and it would only be used for dungeons which will be only a part of the content (in the future atleast)
