any word on a fix for this error? it is quite annoying and making me reconsider renewing my sub
Given that it's been almost 3 months since someone first posted about this issue, I think the answer is clear - they don't give a flying opo-opo about fixing it.
What's the next big game coming out? No point in resubbing on something that just crashes all the time.
It is now December. The BIG PATCH hasn't even come out yet and everyone is crashing more than EVER. I can't even play a solid hour during LOW (daytime) traffic times. I can't use a mount or even use sprint without crashing. It's INSANE. I had no issues at all when the game first came out but now it's virtually nonstop. They promised us a fix HOW long ago? Scroo it. If this keeps up I'm going back to playing Skyrim. At least I can use the trusty tilde and command away any issues I have in THAT game for myself!

Yes! SE needs to fix their coding and servers...but they won't until they start losing paying subscribers and the gil sellers have no one to sell to. It's the same pattern they've had for ...well the decade I've been playing their games.
It was vaguely addressed in one of the letters from the producer, in which he said that it's a "protective device" of some kind (as if that makes ANY sense at all) ...and basically admitted their servers can't handle the stress of the numbers of players in certain...I believe he called them grids...the game environment is divided into. As always (and as I'm sure they'll be telling whoever is playing 3 years from now if the game still exists) they are "working day and night to address this issue and appreciate [our] patience". WHAT patience. Mine ran out several months ago...
well that's bullshit because it happens to me at 5am when hardly anyone is on at all and not a single player in sight. So its not a "protective feature"
Well, at least the big patch fixed this - OH WAIT, IT DIDN'T! Just got it today. >(
