WAR is not able to do high DPS. What? It's down there with PLD.
WAR's raw mitigation in fact does not stand up to that of the other tanks. It compensates for this via its strong self-healing.
It isn't even the only tank that's managed to clear (then) current Savage with seven others of the same job. Ditto for solo tanking content not being anything special.

The problem is that WAR can do damage and heal at the same time, there's no way WAR is doing higher DPS than DRK.
Even with defense and mitigation, you're not at a crazy disadvantage over other tanks.

WAR's representation in savages would appear to indicate that there's no discrepancy here. People would be using WAR over DRK and GNB if it had some kind of edge up over the others. Which is kinda the point here. People arguing in favor of nerfing WAR are wanting it primarily because they for some reason dislike seeing irrelevant content dominated by one job. So what if a good WAR doesn't really need heals in a dungeon or normal raid? The rest of the group will. Unavoidable damage is all over the place, as are people that collect vuln stacks like they're Pokemon.

And the all WAR savage clear? Not only did it barely happen, it required near-flawless play and a whole lot of janky strategies. There is zero risk of this being something that becomes commonplace -- or even being something remotely viable for your average static.

If the DPS of WAR becomes higher than DRK and GNB, you really won't need attackers as well as healers.
Isn't that a bit greedy, indeed?

I... what? I'm not sure what you're even replying to at this point. Who is asking for WAR buffs?

Because literally no other role in the game can accomplish this, so clearly one role is the outlier and needs to be properly tuned. And inside that outlier role subset, there is even more of an outlier in Warrior job performance. The extreme of the extreme so to speak.

In any case, WAR's Nascent Flash is so strong that I don't see any other tanks in expert dungeons anymore.

But GNB can't do expert dungeons without healers or clear P1N solo, so I'm pretty sure WAR is still broken.
