VIERA AND HROTHGAR COMPLAINT MEGATHREAD

Give Viera and Hrothgar access to all helmets, the fact that new gear doesn't even work on them is disgraceful and lazy.

I'm at least glad the Reaper job hat works. I was sure that it would completely destroy the look by not allowing them to wear it, but it does a good job and a prime example that it's completely possible to wear a hat and not ruin exclusivity to the race.

What are we actually expecting from 6.1? What has actually been said?

What bugs me about that quote is that, initially they said that vieras and hrothgars would be getting their own uniqute hairstyles and now in this quote it sounds like they simply couldnt get any. "Unable to add more hairstyles" ? Maybe it is translation.

I think they could be referring to Modern aesthetics or the other race exclusive hairstyles... Is there a way I can find SE's official statements? I want to see the text where they originally mentioned they're unable to add more hairstyles.

They did tell us that viera would only be receiving race specific, if I recall. That may be exclusionary enough for modern aesthetics styles. I'd just like to know where our race specific styles are in that case.. :confused:

Are we just getting a handful of modern aesthetics now, or will we be receiving any more race specific for viera?

It bothers me as well so I looked it up again, originally in the Live Letter they said this;

No matter which way you read it, it just doesn't make sense to say you 'certainly plan on adding more' and then say you previously announced you would be unable to add more, race specific or not.

While we are complaining... the quality of the implemented hairstyles for viera were mostly bad. I saw mods done better than what we got. Hopefully they will do the ronso better. Fingers crossed that they can change hairstyles ingame without extra payment in 6.1. It's a shame that this design choice could pass through quality control. For viera I finally lost hope. We waited and waited and we got this? I dunno who was asking for that 6 hairs? Ok maybe lightning but the rest??? Oh and 2B style is clipping at it's best? It doesn't bother me, but wasn't an argument of SE that they find clipping terrible? I don't need viera exclusive hairstyles. I just want to go with what most other races got. And I'm not talking about Au'Ra or Miqo, just those shared styles. Good luck to us that they consider ronso and viera for new styles in EW.
