Agreed, and since this is still technically beta-stage FFXIV letting the bots/exploiters run rampant allows them to study their habits find ways to prevent their behavior and patch 2.0 ahead of time. Sure I bet we'll see them find new ways to exploit the system, but SE will have their names and know who they are they can update the client to prevent every new instance of cheating because they're not trying to find every new bot/gil-seller that's created post ban.Quote:

Welcome back Azury! You make some really good points. I'm pretty bothered by the exploits allowed in this game and how they always go unpunished, unlike XI..
But unfortunately I can't see SE doing much about them until 2.0, just out of fear of losing too many people.
If things aren't better by 2.0 though... bleh.. :\ I really don't want to see cheaters and exploiters get away with murder. Makes everything you do legit seem like less of an accomplishment because they can do it "better" or faster. -

he VERY CLEARLY points out that the blm burn strat takes advantage of an error in garuda's HP check script and that since they never planned for people to be able to kill her without dealing with aerial blast, it needs to be fixed.
when people use a strategy that takes advantage of a KNOWN BUG (which yoshi just pointed out), which isn't supposed to be possible, it is the VERY DEFINITION of exploiting.

i don't get it. this is the worst community i've dealt with in any mmo (and that's saying a lot, considering how many undesirables play WoW). it's the direct opposite from how things were in FFXI, where the instant there was any *notion* of anyone cheating people grabbed up their torches and pitchforks. and most of this game's community claims to play for the quality of community, referencing FFXI's...
