It's not about wearing fancy clothes, it about wearing what you want without having to look like a mismatched goon/copy of everyone else. And why does it matter to you what they look like if they're wearing the real gear?

Now that golden week is over, let's hope this gets some attention. ^_^/
I 100% support this and I hope we can keep this thread alive long enough to get a developer response.
I know it is too much to put into the current game. I feel however this is a must have in 2.0. While it is hard to program into 1.0, it would be easy to implement in 2.0.
One thing Final Fantasy players love in general is their fashion sense. You strive for people to be unique among everyone else. The Wardrobe system here is the perfect solution for this. We make our own distinct look and gain stat benefits from other armors.
WoW and Rift do this with ease, I don't see why this would be an issue for 2.0. I would love to be in my full DRG AF while having stat benefits from other gear. Same with Paladin.
Please take this into consideration SE! :)
EDIT: I would also like to mention that older content in WoW became vastly popular for a long time after they added a wardrobe system. Everyone wanted the looks from armor in previous expansions. Wardrobe just gives us another reason to explore past dungeons again.
I vote they work on content and game design over things like this (aside from the fact I just don't like this idea)
This is an amazing idea, I've always loved vanity slots. There is a reason why it is standard in every successful MMORPG these days. It's easy to implement, fun for players, and there is 0 downside for people that don't like it. Don't like the idea of the feature? Just don't use it. Simple as that. It doesn't hurt anyone, and actually adds a lot for players to do in the game. There may be old dungeons that people don't do anymore because the gear stats are obsolete, well with a vanity feature people may want to go back and do those dungeons to attain that gear.
I support this idea. It even makes old content somewhat viable, if you want that old awesome looking level 30 piece of gear for cosmetic reasons. It also allows players some indivuduality. They would just have to create outfits that fit FF.
Most modern games do this, and it has been well received in those games. Lotro's system is a good example. Guild wars 2 and Tera are both newer mmos that have systems like this.
Please add this SE! It will make the game much funner !
Yay, more support. Thanks everyone. ^_^
Indeed. Not to mention that as I said earlier, characters in the console FF games are all designed around looking a certain way while saving the world. So it even fits that ideology.
I can attest to this. WoW saw a massive surge of people doing older content when transmogrification was added. It was fun because the people who never saw the content got to see it for achievements and gear. Even now people still run stuff like Karazhan and Black Temple for the gear drops.Quote:
