Can anyone explain how to get the Big Ants Don't Cry achievement involving the Marshal?

exactly how it says, dont split up, and kill the marshal

How do you avoid getting tele'd back to the beginning when going to just one side?

Not exactly. You have to kill the marshal after the princess dies. Just killing the marshal won't count.

You don't all go to one side. You split up for the 2nd room and finish with ants in both rooms to rejoin the party.

Don't read the achievement, its probably poorly translated.
