I honestly can't believe people are raging so much over people complaining about server names.

I mean it's crazy that people actually have differing opinions and would voice them on a forum that has actually influenced the development of this game. And it's not like you see server names when you log on, or on your blog posts, or on your forum posts, or on websites that track your development, or make your signature that displays your levels. /sarcasam

but seriously, it may not effect gameplay but it does affect your character.

And don't take this post as me being whiny, I do not like the name of my new server, but Im not gonna transfer just to change a name. I will get used to it, and accept it because my friends and the community that I have grown to love are worth more than a name to me.

Its funny how much the community's maturity shines when they see names for "servers" that doesn't affect anything beyond the fact that it is just a name.

It actualy sounds like a sexualy transmitted disease, or better yet a sexual move that women aren't fond of like the Cleveland Steamer or a Donkey Punch. Having been a huge advocate earlier of not really caring about server names, let much retract that sentiment now by saying these names are in fact horrible. Thousands of cool names and places that have been created (or "borrowed") over the decades by SE for their games, and these are the best they can come up with? Worst part is they give the coolest name on this sad list (Ragnarok) to the EU peeps.

really? i always like the name Balmung sense Dot hack anime and the first 4 games and thought it was cool that they made a world of it. Did some wiki search i did not even knew it was use as a wep in ff history or ffxi as a great sword too now.
