Veteran Reward changes - Big slap in the face for long time vets?

I do not really mind this but at the same time I would like something to show hey I been subed for 4+ years straight. I mean i got the tatoo on my back, but doesn't exactly show I been subbed for 4+ years. I know it is not required but nice to feel appreciated?

(That is from my sissy, for me, I have not been playing long enough to have feelings for the matter)

As a loyal subscriber for 4 years and having just obtained the Leonhart outfit this past cycle, I'm a little salty about the changes. But it is what it is, so complaining will do very little to change that now.

However, I'm downright bitter over the free fantasia being given out for completing the MSQ now. That should be retroactive for everyone in my opinion. If anything, that is a slap in the face to long time subscribers the most.

While I have little to no issue with the changes themselves, I'd have to agree about the fantasia. Should be for everyone, at least on patch day. Maybe attach a "you have 30 days to receive your free fantasia" or something like that to it.

I'm on a rolling 6month sub and I got it in the first wave, I'm pretty sure it just depends on when your rollover date is, actually.


I've been playing... gosh, almost two years now? And I think this is a good step forward. I had basically written off the Zidane outfit as unobtainable when ff9 is my favourite game, yet I've got this ugly Cloud glam when actually I sort of resent his character. The idea of letting people pick and choose is an excellent step forward, and one that utilises an otherwise useless currency to do so. I'd like to see some less grindcore achievements added (I never played WoW, but GW2 had sets of achievements related to the particularly big world bosses, and I think similar sets would be pretty sweet for raids and suchlike, including "beat this content synched" for starters) but I'm happy with it.

Also, as someone who can only just afford the sub, I'm quite surprised that people would stay subbed just because they'd get their outfit a month earlier. I mean, it's good for SE, but... that's an expensive glam if you're not getting any actual gametime played out of it...

I'm not going to lie, I laughed a bit when they announced this change because my girlfriend would have gotten the last reward (Squall's outfit) when her monthly sub renews on the 11th.

Sounds like casuals just got a taste of what it was like when relics got nerfed, or when primal mounts got nerfed, or the myriad of other things that got nerfed in this game (pretty much everything at some point). Most of you had no sympathy for us, so I have no sympathy for you.

I'll go ahead and take my tantalus and squall costumes, thank you very much!

Yeah, this has nothing to do with relics or primal mounts. This was a "here, give us money and we'll give you something every so often." I don't see the big deal regardless, but some do apparently.
