[dev1016] Not stopping to draw a weapon and go into "active mode"

That is the smartest thing i ever read on this forum. I've been wanting this since i put my hands on FFXIV. The difference it would make if we could just draw and put our weapons away while we are running.

If the community reps or dev don't comment on this SE and FFXIV will lose major points from me... and all the 50+ pple who hit like to this thread.

I like stopping.

It really helps me get killed when im fleeing a mob.

Really gives me that Final Fantasy feel we've all been talking about.

i would like if my character would not stop every time he wants to do anything at all.
It is not only only the drawing weapon... character will also freeze for a long moment when you try to access your retainer, or finish managing your retainer, or if you attempt a repair or start crafting, many other actions as well...

Reminds me of working with complex software on a very low end computer, it takes a lot of patience and self restriction not to smash it.

Absolutely agreed with OP on this one. Also agreed that certain abilities and spells should not require you to draw your weapon to use as well.

This is a hefty request. Obtaining this feature would probably require another visit to the animation/capture department. Drawing your weapon while in a charge requires good footwork, proper breathing technique, superior sense of balance to make it look Good. They will probably need to hire Chuck Norris to do the motions for them.
