Steam payment HUGE price increase!

The funny part is that before 4.05 the price of my non-steam monthly subscription was in USD, now it's in euros. It also caused price increase because of USD-euro exchange rate (1 euro = 0.87 USD). It's not a triple increase but not a pleasant surprise also.

Any official notice from square on this? Just deciding if I should continue to play this game or just buy another from steam, cause here in russia AAA games cost 12-25$. You get more content for that price if you buy another game from steam then paying for subscription. Even blizzard/bungie sells destiny 2 for 31 euro. It's just you get 3+ players for 4 euro/sub or 1 player for 11 euro/sub. SE loses a portion of player base and 5-40% income from those countries.

You could buy Heavensward for low-low-LOW price anywhere for years, except Steam. Because HW was on steam sale only 1-2 times in 2 years. Why should i pay full price in Russia if you pay many times less? :)

What you don't seem to understand is that in the countries with higher wages, we also have a MUCH higher cost of living. So while I can understand that you are all upset over the new price, many others have been paying full price all along who are no better off than you are.
What I DO understand is that doubling (or tripling in Russia's case) with no notice is wrong. Especially right after a huge expansion. I don't care where you live, that would make anyone upset. I would be furious. Yes, the ToS says SE can do this at any time but I think it's not right.

OK firstly please don't be so rude. Secondly yes I would be upset if suddenly I woke up to find my sub had been increased from $5 to $15 dollars as that is actually what has happened. And yes I do agree that this should have had an announcement as it would most definitely affected people's decision whether to purchase the expansion. However as said by multiple posters we do not yet know whether this is a steam issue or a square issue and until we have word from either this thread is well....pointless and will only inflame all those players like myself who have been paying the $15 sub for years

This! Too many of you only factor Min Wage and think thats all that matters. COST OF LIVING IS FAR MORE IMPORTANT. When North America pays 4x more for a loaf of Bread than probably Brazil the point starts to become meaningless, there is always a way to even things out when you break down cost of living expenses between countries over stupid disputes over what amounts to a few dollars.

Keep in mind this is for comparing to the SUB FEE. Not the cost of Electronics and games themsevles. Were talking DOLLARS, Not Hundreds or even Tens

Toys, cloths, console games, electronics, cars and a lot of other things are way more expensive here in Brazil than in US. Waaaaaaay more.

Try to buy a house here with our basic salary of 800 BRL, it's hardly pays a rent.

I can give you a lot of examples, but I'll give only a situation.

If things are more cheaper here in Brazil, Brazilians didn't have to go to or import from US (and other countries) to buy some of those things cheaper.

I have no problem to pay 15 dollars on the subscription, really, but give me your ping, your support, the game in my language and etc. If SE give us all that, then I'll be very happy to pay 15 dollars on the game.

Again, Were talking about the Sub Fee differences (dollars), NOT full cost of living. thats why I said that in my post above, I know you guys are screwed when it comes to that stuff, But junk like everyday living like Bread quickly turns the tables over arguing over something like a few dollars difference in the Sub Fee for what amounts to seriously the cost of a cup of coffee. Subscribing to a video game is a luxury, It's our choice to do so despite cost, you choose to live with it, you don't have to.

This on so many levels. We don't get the same ping, costume support and gameplay experience in general as you guys and yet we have to pay the same price. R$48 isn't a small amount and it's not only just a cup of coffee but a full good meal. Statiscally speaking the majority of the region does. But if we wanna talk languages that most people in general speak, it would be more prudent to do the game in Spanish, Portuguese, or Russian instead of German since those languages are all much more commonly spoken. But German is still a language of choice because Germany and Austria have more wealth on average than much larger countries with more prolific languages like Brazil and Russia do.
