That is the point. They don't get a pass on bad design. If it was a bug that shit happens. This is a design their infrastructure can't handle. Like most of my gripes the idea isn't bad. But when supposedly smart people design like they have an unlimited amount of resources and the players are the ones that suffer because they don't. That doesn't get an ahh just the players fault move on.

If we're counting server queues you can add 4 hours to my time. Balmung was +4k when servers went live, 2k after I got booted, and 1.8k when I logged in again after a nap lol.

But yes, its a hot mess and since my FC mates have given up for the time being, Im stuck flying solo for a bit :c I really wish it were a regular queue-able trial a la Cape Westwind. At least then people could group up ahead of time. Between the bottlenecking and area chat screeching at each other, its been one of those mornings.

I expect an apology from SE about this mess.
Currently the vast majority of people are stuck on an MSQ quest and cant progress any further cause of that idea to limit people that are able to enter the instances.
Hopefully by 2morrow it will be fixed.

While I acknowledge that they have said that things are working as intended on their end, I really feel like THEY need to acknowledge that regardless of intent this is not working. People can't queue for later dungeons and trials because there are literally not enough people who have unlocked it yet.

Copying the instance over to a 1p Trial would most likely be possible, considering they showed they have a dev option to change a party Trial to a solo Trial. It's probably the best fix they could do right now. Upping it to a full 8p or even 4ptrial would mean rebalancing, and queueing from solo instances is to my knowledge not possible with their current system...

I hate SE so much for this solo instance bullshit system

It was terrible when the servers first started up but it's going to get WORSE when everyone gets off work and tries to log on.

I'm baffled that people are actually taking up for this game design.

I mean... if it isn't working at 3~4am on a workday. Do people really think that prime time and going into a weekend is going to be any better?

Well, I finally got in and got past it... but holy hell they need to fix that quest.
