Other pictures in there too. That's just one of my many alts. There's also a comparison from ptr when they were updating models for feedback... They've since fixed the bugs too with most of them.

There is the matter of scale. Female Draenei are almost as tall as male night elves (the tallest alliance race) and have the 4th tallest model in the game (behind male and female tauren and male night elf). I can say they do have an aspect of cuteness to them while also having their own degree of sexiness (hence /waggle).

I guess you could say they do manage to look cute but have a size advantage that makes it less "offensive" and can even lean towards intimidating depending on how you customize and gear them.

I'm sorry but you are fairly far off the mark. Snouts would require major modification of anything with a mask in addition to closed and open faced helmets. Hats without masks are pretty much the only thing that would not need very much modification other than for ears/horns. It would also take even more modification to make non-vertical necks work.

If a tail is anymore substantial than the ones for Miqo'te and Au Ra that requires major modification on both body and leg pieces.

Digitigrade feet (it is what most bestial races traditionally walk on) require completely new boot and shoe designs unless their feet are more "normal" and they walk more like they are always wearing high heels. This doesn't even get close to the design work required for cloven hooves and bird feet.

You're ignoring the faction break. If you just look at it by faction I'd say the uglier the race the less played with the Pandaren being an exception, of course they are the "fat" race so perhaps that's it. I don't think dwarves or gnomes come off as particularly pretty or cute in wow art not like say Lalas.

The realm pop data also does not subdivide the races by sex. I would not be surprised if Draenei characters were mostly female.

Most digitigrade is handled like heels in games except woe and eq2.

In wow, trolls, worgen, tauren and draenei do not have a foot to their boots. Ankle/calf yes. Hoof/paw/trollfoot doesn't fit in boots.

Sarnak in EQ2 had specially made helmets and boots(dragon men).

Are there even high heels in this game?

I'm not quite sure why you started with "you are fairly far off the mark" when you're not really disputing much. Well, ok, so you added one item, the game's one and only mask design, in addition to the closed-faced helms that I'd already mentioned.

But as I pointed out, things like cat ears and horns, which clearly are within the range of what SE is willing to adjust for, need adjustments to nearly all hoods, hats, and helmets. A snout, on the other hand, would need adjustments to closed-faced helmets and that mask, but not to most helmets, nor to any hats or hoods. (The only other types of headgear in the game are things like circlets and glasses which wouldn't need adjustments in either case.) So overall, a snout would require far less adjusting than what SE agrees is reasonable.

[EDIT: Oh, and I forgot, there's also a scarf that covers the lower half of your face. That one would require adjustment as well. (Still doesn't change the real point, though, that most headgear doesn't cover the lower half of your face.)]

I'm not quite sure how a tail could be much more substantial than the thick option for the Au Ra tail, the one people are referring to as the crocodile or alligator tail, like this one:

I don't particularly like that tail design, but what I dislike isn't the tail itself, but the fact that the rest of the character doesn't match. It comes out looking more like a girl cosplaying a tailed creature rather than like someone who actually has a real tail. Just giving Au Ra actual scales rather than a few odd little patches here and there would have mostly taken care of that problem. It would help the tail and body to match.


As for the rest of your post, the fact that you can come up with a few things that wouldn't work as easily has no bearing at all on the fact that, as I pointed out, there are lots of others that would work just fine with little or no adjustments to gear. (And even your hardest examples could still be done. Digitigrade feet would require special adjustments for shoes and boots, but at least that adjustment could be done once, rather than eight different hat/helm adjustments to accommodate all the different Au Ra horn styles.)

Most games have the horns/ears stick through supposed holes in helmets...
